VISCOSITY CONTROLLER - PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Catalogue No. DUJ-N220-60(M)
Drawing No. GS-Ug-62171A 1/5
For Steam Heater
1. GENERAL
‘This device is designed to measure and indicate viscosity of diesel
engine fuel and at the same time transmit a control signal (4
~20mA) to a steam heater in order to maintain viscosity at
@ desired level so set, It is also capable of measuring and
indicating fuel temperature and transmitting another control
signal to the steam heater to maintain the temperature at @
level so set.

Sensor motor protector (in the control box)
This device is designed to cut off the power to
the sensor motor when it has been overloaded.

(on the control circuit board)
Range of setting : 60~180 [°C]
If fuel temperature exceeds the level set here, the
steam control valve closes completely, thus preventing
the temperature from getting higher.
If fuel temperature comes below the level set here
by about 5‘C, the control restarts.

(1) Control changeover switeb
a) MANU
Set up remote opening of steam control valve.
Set up steam control valve opening with transient
set up knob, but setting scale is in the range
between 0 and 100%.
TEMP
Controls temperature. Fuel temperature is controlled
to the level so set by means of TEMP SET.
vIsco
controls viscosity. Fuel viscosity is controlled
to the level so set by means of VISCO SET.
Sensor motor stopper switch
This switch is designed to stop the viscometer motor
by making it OFF when carrying out 0 adjustment
with the viscometer.
When motor stops, no viscosity is indicated and also
power for the steam valve turns OFF, thus the steam
valve stops at a position in the course of controlling.
The switch is made to ON for normal operation.
Temperature limit setting knob
(on the control circuit board)
If fuel temperature exceeds the level set by means of
this knob, the steam valve closes completely to prevent
temperature from getting higher. If fuel temperature
comes below this set temperature by about 5°C, control
will resume.
Sensor motor abnormel stop alarm
If the viscosity sensor motor is locked by a pump stick,
ox when the motor is overloaded, the indicator lamp lights,
cutting the contact point output OFF, thus breaking the
power to the sensor motor.
To restore power supply, causes of the abnormality must
first be removed, and then press the pushbutton (ON)
on the motor protector in the control unit.
Note: As soon as abnormality takes place the control
will be shifted over to temperature control even
if the control changeover switch is it at the
position vIsco
‘The control is reset when abnormality is removed.(5) High viscosity alarm
If fuel viscosity continues to be higher than the value
set by means of the high viscosity alarm setting knob for
about 5 minutes(or 30sec.), the lamp lights and the contact
point output is cut OFF. The alarm is overridden when fuel
viscosity becomes lower by about 1.1 (cSt] than the alarm
setting point.
Note: It output only when viscosity control is working.
Low viscosity alarm
A no-voltage contact output is released when viscosity
lower than a value set by the low viscosity alarm setting
knob continues for about 5 minutes(or 30sec.).
Note: It output only when viscosity control is working.“aNd
