PAPILLON’s optical fingerprint and palmprint scanner, the DS-45, is designed for
capturing forensic quality rolled and flat finger impressions and palmprints includ-
ing writer’s palms.
The DS-45 uses the optical technology that enables producing high-quality images
even of moist hands.
Enlarged to 132x130 mm, the scanning area meets the standard set down by the FBI
for palmprint live scan devices.
The DS-45 enables the synchronous capture of both thumbs taken flat, and the
extraction of single finger impressions from slaps taken according to the “4+4+2”
pattern as it is accepted in biometric passport projects by many countries.
The DS-45 livescan fingerprint device was certified in the FBI (USA) in February 2010.

The PAPILLON Live Scanner system is applicable for:
• Fingerprinting a subject
• Inputting and saving text data and fingerprints in a file on the computer
memory (HDD)
• Saving photo images of a person fingerprinted
• Printing ten–prints in a standard form
• Adjusting a print form and choosing resolution: 600 or 1200 dpi
• Transferring ten–print cards into AFIS
