TASK #3: COMEPLETE ME

I can be a first aider because: I know how to execute the needed steps or activities to help
someone who's in need.

I will be a first aider because:I want to help people to the best of my knowledge.

As a first aider, I will: be a good listener and a role model for my fellow people to show that
having even the basic knowledge can save lives.

Processing Questions:
1. Why is first aid important?

First aid is important because it enables prompt treatment of injuries and offers
solutions for accidents.

2. Can we help others through our knowledge and skills in first aid? How?

Absolutely, we can assist by applying our skills directly to aid them with their
injuries, or we can empower them by sharing those skills so they can help others even when
we're not present.

TASK #4: “IS HE A GOOD FIRST AIDER?”

Process Questions:

1. Who among the students are good first aiders? Why?

Students A, C, and D excel in first aid because they remain composed during
emergencies, prioritize seeking immediate medical assistance, and ensure that injuries are
treated to prevent infection.

2. Who among them are not good first aiders? Why?

Students B and E, because they lack the necessary skills to handle injuries or
accidents properly. Their actions could potentially exacerbate the situation rather than
improve it.

3. What characteristics should a good first aider possess?

A good first aider always thinks carefully before doing anything. They
consider what the injured person needs most and focus on reducing their pain by providing
proper first aid.

4. If you were a first aider, what would be your goal?

My aim would be to swiftly remove the person from harm's way and
alleviate their pain as quickly as possible.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES:

SCENARIO: You and your two friends were hiking and along the trail you saw a man who is
unconscious, with blood oozing from his head. How should you deal with this situation?

1. What is the first thing that you should do?

Go to the man and check if he's breathing and has a heartbeat. Perform first aid measures,
wrap his injured head to help stop the bleeding. Call for help right away and keep checking
how he's doing.

2. List everything you think you would need to do as the first person to arrive at the
scene.

First, check if the man is still breathing and has a pulse. Then, call for help. Try to stop the
bleeding. Check for the man's identification and if the he'sbawake or alert. Stay calm and wait
