Warranty
Congratulations on the purchase of your
DecoGlaze™ Glass Product!
This Warranty only applies to DecoGlaze™ products used in internal applications.
DecoGlaze™ Painted, Coloured Glass Splashbacks and Wall Panels are warranted against fading, peeling or bubbling and faulty workmanship
for a period of ten (10) years from the date of installation. DecoGlaze™ Impression Series carries a five (5) year warranty against fading,
peeling or bubbling and ten (10) year warranty against faulty workmanship from the date of installation.
DecoGlaze™ Toughened Mirrored Splashbacks and Wall Panels are warranted for the coating, against fading, peeling, bubbling and faulty
workmanship only for a period of seven (7) years from the date of installation by DecoGlaze™ Pty Ltd.
Due to the toughening process, some distortion in the glass by way of roller wave, is slightly accentuated due to the mirror like qualities. The
original flatness of the glass is slightly modified by the heat treatment, causing reflected images to be distorted.
DecoGlaze™ DecoLux Range is warranted against fading, peeling or bubbling and faulty workmanship, for a period of ten (10) years from the
date of installation only. The warranty for DecoLux does not cover staining or discolouration of the front of the glass, nor does it warrant marks
on the back of the glass caused by misuse.
DecoGlaze™ Non-Toughened Mirrors are only warranted against faulty workmanship and not discolouration or delamination.
DecoGlaze™ Frameless Shower Screens are warranted against faulty workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation
only. Maintenance of the Shower Screen is the responsibility of the Client/ Customer this includes but not limited to, tightening of hinges.
Visual Inspection
Scratches are defective if they exist at handover and can be seen from a normal viewing position of 1.5 metres, under natural lighting.
Minor scratches that are not more than 10mm in length and where there are not more than three (3) blemishes per pane, are not defects.
Colour
Colour will vary according to the light source, intensity and surrounding colours. As with all coloured products, DecoGlaze™ colours may
appear different in the final installation.
The iron content of the glass and other minerals will condition the final effect of some of the DecoGlaze™ colours. All Glass products are cut
from current glass cases of raw stock. DecoGlaze™ will not be held responsible for colour variations, if extra or replacements panels are
requested/required for any reason and must be produced from current raw stock.
Silicone
Approved silicone is applied to the perimeter of all glass panels for installation and sealing purposes. Seals may vary depending on joinery,
walls and bench tops being level or plumb. Silicone seals are to be cleaned to prevent silicone discolouration (refer to Care and Maintenance
Instruction Sheet). Acrylic gap filler is used on all exposed edges adjoining existing painted surfaces. Gaps of up to four millimetres of silicone
or gap filler are acceptable.
Breakage & Burns
Where possible, panels are toughened at DecoGlaze™ premises to become Safety Glass in accordance with Australian Standard AS2208 and
installed in accordance with AS1288 - Glass in Buildings. The glass is adhered to the substrate in such a way that if in the unlikely event it
breaks it will not cause injury or harm. Extreme concentrated heat for long periods of time may cause the glass to explode. Do not lean pots or
pans on the glass or allow gas flames to touch the surface of the glass as this will cause discolouration, damage or breakage not covered by
the DecoGlaze™ Warranty. This Warranty does not cover breakage due to misuse or damage caused after installation has taken place.
Other Trades
After DecoGlaze™ has completed installation, any work carried out on the glass by tradesmen such as electricians, plumbers etc, will void this
Warranty. Please contact DecoGlaze™ on 02 9624 7099 for technical advice, if work is to be carried out on DecoGlaze™ Glass after
installation.

Maintenance & Care Instructions for
Splashba
DecoGlazeTM Glass Products
Splashbacks:
Whilst your DecoGlaze™ Glass Splashback will be toughened, if it is positioned behind a stove or cook top, it still
needs to be used with a degree of care.
Do not lean pots or pans on the glass or allow gas flames to touch the surface of the glass.
When using your back burners, take care not to allow the lip of the pan to touch or rest against the Glass
Splashback. Concentrated heat in one small area for more than a short period of time may cause your Glass
Splashback to shatter. This is considered misuse, and is not warranted under the DecoGlaze™ Warranty.
Again, if using the back burners of a gas stove or cooktop, having a large pan on high heat for more that a short
period of time may cause the flames to touch the glass. This may cause the paint behind the glass to burn,
causing discolouration, damage or breakage of your Glass Splashback, which is once again considered misuse
and is not warranted by the DecoGlaze™ Warranty.
Cleaning Coloured Glass and DecoLux:
We recommend using warm soapy water and a non-abrasive lint free cloth or paper towel for cleaning your
Coloured Glass, followed by a good quality glass cleaner such as the DecoGlazeTM All Surface Cleaner. Whether
it’s your Kitchen Splashback or Bathroom Walls, regular cleaning of your Coloured Glass or DecoLux product will
keep it looking as new as the day it was installed. Do not use any abrasive type cleaners as they will tarnish and
damage the Glass surface.
Silicone is applied to all edges for sealing, expansion and contraction purposes and the use of strong chemical
type cleaning agents may discolour or deteriorate these seals.
Do not lean pots or pans on the glass or allow gas flames to touch the surface of the glass as this will cause
discolouration, damage or breakage not covered by the DecoGlaze™ Warranty.
Cleaning Mirrors:
We recommend using warm soapy water and a non-abrasive lint free cloth or paper towel for cleaning your
Mirrors, followed by a good quality glass cleaner such as the DecoGlaze™ All Surface Cleaner. This method
should ensure a streak-free finish and keep Mirrors looking as good as the day they were installed. Do not use
any abrasive type cleaners as they will tarnish and damage the surface. Silicone is applied to all edges for sealing,
expansion and contraction purposes and the use of a strong chemical type cleaning agents may discolour or
deteriorate these seals. Do not lean pots or pans on the glass or allow gas flames to touch the surface of the
glass as this will cause discolouration, damage or breakage not covered under the DecoGlaze™ Warranty.
DecoGlaze™ Toughened Mirror Splashbacks and Wall Panels are warranted against fading, peeling, bubbling,
and faulty workmanship only.
DecoGlaze Non-Toughened Mirrors are only warranted against faulty workmanship and not discolouration or
delamination.
Cleaning Shower Screens:
We recommend using warm soapy water and a non-abrasive lint free cloth or paper towel for cleaning your
Shower Screens, followed by a good quality glass cleaner such as DecoGlaze™ All Surface Cleaner. Do not use
any abrasive type cleaners as they will tarnish and damage the Glass surface. Silicone will be applied to all edges
required to be sealed to allow for expansion and contraction. The use of strong chemical type cleaning agents
may discolour or deteriorate these seals. Periodically check that all screws are tight and that hinges are operating
properly.
All DecoGlaze ™ Shower Screens are installed to Australian Standards AS1288-2006.
