Agenda - Plight of refugees amidst the Russia-Ukraine War with special
emphasis on the principle of non-refoulement
The United Nations Human Rights Council ,
Recalling the obligations of all States under Article 2 of the Charter to
refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the
territorial integrity or political independence of any State, and to settle their
international disputes by peaceful means,
Gravely concerned about the upsurge of child trafficking and human
trafficking in IDPs and refugees,
Taking into consideration the Article 25(1) of the UN Charter the
Protection of the dignity, education, health of the women is essential,
Gravely concerned by the delay of providing asylum, legal recognition
and identification,
Recalling the Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
and Article 10(3) of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and
Cultural Rights there is a presence of serious threat to the future of the
younger generation due to lack of education and destruction of educational
institution,
Strongly reprimanding the further invasion of the territory of Ukraine by
the Russian Federation and recognizing the strong expressions of deep
concern in the statements made by the Secretary-General and by the United
Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights,
Strongly condeming the escalating rate of rape against women, child
sexual abuse against young naive girls and forced progenerationstitution,
Noting with deep concern the healthcare mismanagement, involving
miscarriages, premature births, inadequate supply of vaccination, deep wound
injuries from bomb shellings, and even basic facilities for well being,
1) Suggests the provision of schools and vocational institutions to the
children to bear the loss caused by the situation of war and prevent danger of
the future of younger ;
2) Further requests host nations to provide more job opportunities to the
refugees to freely work in order to uphold financial stability;
3) Encourages the setting up of health camps in order to assist in
necessities, and to lessen the intensity of psychological problems;
4) Urges governments to take appropriate measures to address the root
concerns like rehabilitation, food assistance, and bearing health care
expenses including vaccinations and booster doses;
5) Affirms that it is essential to place the protection of human rights at the
centre of measures taken to prevent ill treatment and to protect, assist and
provide access to adequate redress to victims;
6) Calls upon the relevant organs, bodies and agencies of the United
Nations system to cooperate fully with the commission of inquiry and to
respond promptly to any request made by it, including with regard to access to
relevant information and documentation;
7) Further requests United Nations to provide military services to escort
refugees and protect internally displaced people;
8) Further recommends NATO member countries to provide military
services to escort refugees and provide protection to internally displaced
people.
