I was born and raised in Dong Hoi city which is located in the Southern part of Vietnam.
It is a metropolitan area with millions of dwellers. As a matter of fact, I believe it is the most
populated city in Vietnam.
Dong Hoi is one of the best places in the Middle land of Vietnam. That is an ideal destination
for enjoying a wonderful time on the tops of the mountains, inside the jungles or beside the
rivers or beaches. It would be a shortcoming if we do not mention the poetic Nhat Le bridge,
Bao Ninh beach,…..the pride of Da Nang’s citizens. I like the city’s dynamic lifestyle: young
and busy. It attracts me and people from every walks of life thanks to its open atmosphere, a
practical attitude, a mix culture, a rapid rhythm. People say that the city never sleeps. This city
provides everyone so many opportunities to build up their careers, especially young people
who want to build a brilliant social position. The people here are very sociable, hospitable and
hard-working. They are willing to give directions to tourists and invite them home. Here, we
will be attracted by the special dishes. They are very delicious and have special characteristic
of Dong Hoi city, not similar to any where
There are many downsides and disadvantages of living in a big city, but air pollution and traffic
jam are two main disadvantages. First of all, air pollution is a big disadvantage that people living
in big cities have to face. Many international organisations have warned us about low air quality
index in many countries. The first reason for this problem is the huge amount of carbon dioxide
in the air. Most of the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere comes from coal burning
power plants and vehicles. It also leads to global warming and greenhouse effect. . The main
reason is due to human activities from means of transport, industrial production and weather
factors. To improve the air quality, people should plant more trees and use pubic transports
instead of private vehicles. Secondly, traffic jam is also a big advantage of living in big city. The
first reason that cause this problem is there are many people using the roads, especially in rush
hours when everyone is in a hurry to get to work or come back home. Another reason is many
roads are narrow and bumpy. Every day, there are more and more accidents happening because
of careless and druken drivers. Driving after drinking alcohol, not wearing helmets, driving fast
and so on
I love my city so much and if I go far in the future, I will always renember Dong Hoi . As a
matter of fact, life in the city has many advantages, nevertheless, if we look at the wrong side of
the matter, we can realize that city life has more disadvantages.
