“BIOGRAPHY”
Rhaia Mae V. Hiyan is my complete name. I live in the
secret paradise of Bukidnon, where the highest hanging
bridge in the whole Bukidnon located, Malayan San Fernando
Bukidnon. I born on October 09 2003. My father’s name is
Ramil P. Hiyan and my mother’s name is Ailyn P. Hiyan and
I have one sister and one brother name Aira and Mark jay.
The short story, I started to study my elementary days at Malayan Elementary School
and junior and senior high school at Halapitan National High School. I am currently a
college student in Valencia Colleges Incorporated taking a course of Bachelor of
Elementary Education.

As I grow up, I have a lot of hobbies that I never wanted to possess on me just
like, playing volleyball, watching romantic movies, travelling and also reading some
articles about some issues in our surroundings. I really love playing volleyball because,
this is one of my comfort zones, when times that I feel broke and sad, it gives me the
energy or the feeling that I wanted to have. I am person who love watching romantic
movies, I give me the vibes that I want, and its kind a weird because every time I watch
romantic movies, I always imagining that I am the main character of that movie and
that is my love story hahahaha and I don’t know why. Besides that, I love travelling
very much because when I go to another places, I’ll get a new friend and creating an
unforgettable experience in my life. And last is reading article about some issues in our
surroundings, or should I say I am marites person hahahah just kidding, it is just
because I want to know what happen in our soundings to be more ready or updated
about other things in our word.

I am a person who beg to have a good career in life, always trying to reach my
dreams in life, but my laziness always try to destroy my spirit but I always trying my
very best to make it, to make my life better. I strive very hard, because I wanted

to have a settle life for me and my family, and buy want they want to buy and this is my
payback in all of their hard works and sacrifices because without them I am not the
person that I want to be right now so big respect to all the parents right there, who
sacrifice to have a good schooling career to their children.

REFLECTION: Essay
1.Why is it important for the youth to undergo NSTP?

National Service Training Program (NSTP) is a formed to educate young people


to become a good and responsible citizen in the near future. This is a program aimed at
enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by developing
the of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any of its program
components. NSTP is one who promote the role of the outhit nation-building. As such,
it aims to encourage the youth to become a leader. As a current student who studied in
this generation, National Service Training Program (NSTP) is very mandatory because
every student learn to be disciplined and efficient in all aspect. Self-improvement,
performance and community involvement are all cover in this subject. National Service
Training Program (NSTP) is a way for us to become a good young leader, and also a
role model to everyone. A college curriculum should include the National Service
Training Program because it instills patriotism in our kids. It also teaches students to be
socially conscious and responsible community members.

2. What are the good citizenship values you think that you possess?

For the sake of his home land, a decent citizen must be willing to give his life. He
must adore his home land and be a patriot. He must have a strong and abiding
confidence in his nation. He needs to follow the rules of the land. But he must also
consider the state's welfare, society benefit and the nation long term interest. I think the
good values that I possess is being a good example to the youth in my barangay,
because I am responsible and willing to help in any situation, actually I am the youth
president in my barangay. I am a person who love to smile even in the hardest time and
have a mind set to solve what the problem is it. I respect people who respect me and a
good citizen who followed any rules and regulation in my community. If we have a
good value and a positive mind, we can experience a healthy relationship to others we
can have a peace full life living in this world.

3. How will you promote the good citizenship value to your co-youth?

A good citizen should have a spirit of cooperation, friendliness, humanity, dedication


and devotion towards his family and society. A good citizen must respect to others
faiths. They must not do anything that bring disgrace to the society to the country. First,
I will promote to be an active volunteer in our community, I will show to them how to
be a good volunteer citizen who willing to help those people who need it. Be honest and
trust worthy, this is the value the we need to put in our mind and apply in ourself. I will
show also how to respect the rights and property of others, this is the most

important values that we need to apply in our character as a citizen. If we can apply all
of this good value, we can be a good role model to our co-youth. All these good
qualities, if possessed, make us good citizens.

1. What do you think is the importance of the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights?

 Human rights are the basic right and freedom that belong to every person
in the world from birth until death. Human Rights is very important in
every individual it give us the protection that we need, especially those
people who experience abuse, neglect and isolation. It gives us also the
power to speak up our opinion

2. What is the purpose of Republic Act 8491?

 Republic Act 8491, or the "flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines". The
purpose of it is to show are variance and respect to our beloved country,
the national anthem and other national symbols that represent the ideas of
sovereignty and national cohesion and embody the country' side and
traditions. It gives us pride in our native land, fitting respect and affection
for the national flag and anthem.

1. As a member/ youth in the society, what can you contribute to prevent drug
abuse?
 As a member or a youth in our society I will contribute to prevent drug
abuse, being a role model to everyone, I will be the one who educate them
that drug is very dangerous to our body and also in our emotions. It can
ruin our future and give us a problematic life and there’s a possibility we
go to jail when we use drugs. That’s why don’t mind to use drugs, I don't
want my life miserable and homeless, and I’ll sure you don't want to.

2. What do you think Is the main reason why drug abuse/ addiction education is
being implemented by the government?
 For me the main reason why drug abuse/ addiction education is being
implemented by our government is to aware us youth that drug is not
good in our body. It affects our human health it gives us a lot of diseases
like problems with memory and learning and many more. It can ruin our
life, there’s no any good effect in our body and health if we use drugs with
no reason or abusing it.

3. After reading the material, what did you realize and learned?
 After reading it, I realize that there is no good effect in our mental and
physical health if we abuse drugs, or using it without any reason, and I
learned not to use it, especially I am young, have a goals in life and
without consultation in our nurses and doctors, we use drugs if we need,
but not in recreational use.

any packs of foods, we have some emergency things and health materials

2. As a youth, what do you think that you can contribute to the community in

 As a youth, I can contribute to the community through helping them to be
aware what calamities we face when calamities come, and helping them to

Disaster management aims to reduce, or avoid, the potential losses from hazards, assure
prompt and appropriate assistance to victims of disaster, and achieve rapid and
effective recovery. The Disaster management cycle illustrates the ongoing process by
which governments, businesses, and civil society plan for and reduce the impact of
disasters, react during and immediately following a disaster, and take steps to recover
after a disaster has occurred.

1. As a citizen what are the things that you must do to help in the midst of
catastrophe?
- No one can prevent natural disasters. But you can prepare for them. Being
ready for a catastrophe before it happens may help you protect yourself,
your family and your home. You can be a hero in the middle of
catastrophe, like being prepared in all things that make you save.

Earthquake
-a sudden and violent shaking of the ground, sometimes causing great destruction, as a

Volcanic Eruptions
-A volcanic eruption is when lava and gas are released from a volcano—sometimes
explosively. The most dangerous type of eruption is called a 'glowing avalanche' which
is when freshly erupted magma flows down the sides of a volcano.
Tsunami
-Tsunamis are giant waves caused by earthquakes or volcanic eruptions under
the sea. They speed along as fast as jet planes
Landslide
- Landslide is the movement of rock, earth, or debris down a sloped section
of land. Landslides are caused by rain, earthquakes, volcanoes, or other
factors that make the slope unstable.
Floods
-Flood is an overflow of water that submerges land that is usually dry.[1] In the sense of
"flowing water", the word may also be applied to the inflow of the tide. Floods are an
area of study of the discipline hydrology and are of significant concern in agriculture,
civil engineering and public health.

-The thing that I can contribute to help reduce the climate change is to, educate myself
that climate change is a very big problem in our earth we should be aware what

planting more trees, not throwing garbage in any places and apply the proper waste

- For me the best way to reduce climate change is to plant more trees, by doing this we

3. Explain what are the contribution of the people in climate change matter?
-The contribution of the people in climate change are first is, all our gadgets run on
electricity generated mainly from thermal power plants. These thermal power plants
are run on fossil fuels (mostly coal) and are responsible for the emission of huge
amounts of greenhouse gases and other pollutants, second is cars, buses, and trucks are
the principal ways by which goods and people are transported in most of our cities,
third is we generate large quantities of waste in the form of plastics that remain in the
environment for many years and cause damage, fourth is we use a huge quantity of
paper in our work at schools and in offices, and lastly is timber is used in large
quantities for construction of houses, which means that large areas of forest have to be
cut down.
