Tire Sealant Removal

NOTE:
This procedure is only to be used with the temporary tire repair kit.
The tire inflator and temporary repair sealant are used on vehicles without a spare tire.
The temporary repair sealant used to repair the tire must be removed before the tire is permanently repaired.
The temporary repair sealant (once used or past the expiration date) is considered hazardous waste, and must be disposed
of in an environmentally safe manner (such as used engine oil and coolant). Check with your local regulations for proper
disposal.
The expiration date of the temporary repair sealant is printed on the container.

Do not dispose a tire with the fluid sealant filled.

gun, or a hand vacuum tool with a proper tube to remove
the tire sealant.

7. Insert the tube into the tire through the drain hole, and aim
it down until the end of the tube is immersed into the fluid
sealant (B).

8. Remove the tire sealant.

NOTE: If using the bottle with the tube, set the bottle in a
lower position than the tire and squeeze the bottle to siphon
the tire sealant into the bottle.

9. Completely seal and dispose of the bottle containing the tire

sealant in the proper manner for hazardous waste. Check
with your local regulations.

10. If you are going to reuse the tire, completely remove the
fluid sealant and replace the tire valve.

Wheel Alignment - Caster Angle/Toe/Steering Axis Inclination (SAI) 3562 http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/sm/1/2/Contents/enu/61TBAD/...

Wheel Alignment - Caster Angle/Toe/Steering Axis Inclination (SAI)

1. Caster Angle/Toe/Steering Axis Inclination (SAI)

Caster Angle

Caster is the forward or rearward angle of the steering axis

compared to true vertical as seen from the side. Caster is
measured as the number of degrees that the steering axis
varies from true vertical.
If the top of the steering axis is in front of true vertical, the
caster is negative.
If the steering axis is parallel with true vertical, it has zero
caster.
If it is behind true vertical, the caster is positive.

Caster affects vehicle steering effort, steering wheel

returnability, and handling.

cardiagn.com
Steering wheel returnability refers to the vehicles ability to
straighten out and the steering wheel return to center after the
vehicle leaves a corner.

Toe

Toe is the comparison of the distance measured between the

front and rear of the tires on the same axle.
Toe affects tire wear, handling and steering wheel alignment.
Toe is represented by a measurement in either millimeters or
inches calculated by taking the distance between the rear of
the tires and subtracting the distance between the front of the
tires. This measurement is called total toe:
If the front of the tires were closer together than the rear,
the vehicle would have positive toe, also called toe in.
If the rear of the tire were closer together than the front, the
vehicle would have negative toe, also called toe out.

Strut type Steering Axis Inclination (SAI)

Steering axis inclination, or S.A.I., is the angle created by

drawing a line through the upper and lower pivot points of the
knuckle when looking from the front of the vehicle and
comparing it to true vertical. Included angle, or I.A., is the
combination of S.A.I. and Camber. If the side to side difference
in S.A.I. or included angle differ 1.5 degrees or more, it may be
an indication that the vehicle has damaged components.

Wheel Alignment - Suspension/Camber Angle

1. Suspension/Camber Angle

Front suspension The suspension system holds the wheels and axles in position
and absorbs road vibrations. It also allows steering, directional
stability and recoverability, while minimizing tire wear. In order
to achieve all those requirements, the wheels have a steering
axis inclination angle, a camber angle, caster angle and toe-in
angle. Wheel alignment is the combination of these angles
relevant to the wheel.

Positive camber Camber Angle:

Camber is the side to side tilt of the tire compared to true

vertical as seen from the front of the vehicle. This angle is
measured for both the front and rear tires. Camber affects
vehicle ride quality, handling and tire wear. Camber is
measured as the number of degrees that the tire varies from
true vertical:
If the top of the tire is leaning away from the vehicle,
camber is positive.
If the top of the tire is leaning towards the vehicle, camber
is negative.
If the tire is parallel to true vertical, it has zero camber.
