Alecto General Technology corp. – this the company that I had chosen to have my On The Training. May
19, 2023 (Friday) is my first day of my OJT. I was very excited and somewhat nervous because of the new
environment and the new people surrounding around me, since this is my first time to have an OJT in
Manila. I didn’t have any idea of what kind of people they are and it made me adjust myself with their
personalities and attitude. The people their is really approachable and nice to me. I am very thankful
that they treat me like a professional already.
When I came to the office on my first day, the hr accompanied me to my supervisor and to the table
were I will be staying. During that moment, I felt like I am already a professional having my own table
and computer on front of me. When I met my supervisor he is really nice towards me. The first task the
he ask me to do is to do a lighting layout using autocad. He taught me a lot of things. I learned things
that I didn’t know yet. I know I am not that really good with autocad but he is really patient towards me.
My first day was a really good start and I was motivated to perform excellently because of what I have
already accomplished and because of my supervisor who is really accommodating and kind to me.
May 22, 2023
On my second day of my Job, me and my supervisor go to the site we’re I will be permanently assigned.
When we arrive to the project site which is the IRHYTHM located at MEGATOWER ortigas. I attended a
meeting with my supervisor together with the engineers and contractor of a project. They discussed
about the changes and progress of the project. After that my supervisor introduces me to the workers
on the site. I was a bit nervous because I am the only female om the project site. The workers are nice
towards me but I am just not really comfortable because the call me (ma’am). My second they is exciting
because I learned new things and met nice people.
May 23, 2023
On my third day of my OJT I directly go to the site, I was ask with my supervisor to do the time lock of
the workers, and I will be the one to report him whether the workers are late or not, I was scared to
report him thinking that the workers will get angry with me. During the afternoon together with the
foreman we inspect the project and recorded it to the report sheet whether the workers finished the
work that they assigned to them or not. When I am walking at the site wearing my hard hat, safety
shoes and safety vest, I felt like I am already and engineer. The foreman teaches me al lot. After my third
day I was able to familiarize the material that they use and how they to the actual layouts of lighting.
May 24, 2023
On my fourth day as usual I go to the project site, after I lock the time of the workers the foreman and I
do the inspection. We marked at the plan what are the parts the is already finished and not finished.
After that I did a report because I was the one who us asked to do the reports. When I am done doing
my report I have my lunch. After having my lunch we did an inspection again and record it to the report
sheet. My fourth days is tiring but also I was inspired with my work. I learn to adjust with my
environments already a little bit.
