your understanding and cooperation. On the next pages you will find all the basic tech aspects and other useful
information for your show. Further details will be discussed during advance and production communications.

General Production Guidelines
- Please be sure to advance all your technical requirements with Chris Rodriguez & Tomas Moreno and your
specific stage manager once introduced -
@ On tour gear custom papers
Please have all your custom paperwork done before entering Argentina (regardless the amount and type of gear
you are bringing). Argentine customs are very demanding with this formality and we need to avoid any
unnecessary delays at the airports. If you donʼt have a custom agent please let us know and we can put you in
contact with Rock it Cargo or an Agent so you can deal with all logistic and costs with them. Even if you are
bringing your gear as hand luggage- ATA CARNET IS NOT ALLOWED ON ARGENTINA - please consider this
recommendation.
@ Lighting plots
The festival policy is having a festival lighting plot that is the same for all Lollapaloozas around South America
for main stage 1 & 2 respectively. We can deal with extra Floor lights but this will be an artist cost.
Alternative and Perry stages have a general festival plot too (specific for Argentina Festival) and this canʼt be
changed or modified.
There will be a virtual lighting studio for Main Stage 1 and Main Stage 2, and another one for Alternative Stage
and Perry Stage. All artists should arrange in advance their shift with their STAGE MANAGERS in order to use this
studios.
@ Backline
Each stage will have a standard backline proposal that intends to fit all bands needs and will be shared by all
ARTISTS. We will send you this proposal and please let us know if you need something specific so we can quote
that extra for you. We know there can be exceptions to this and we can deal with each specific case.
@ Radio frequencies
For the bands that are bringing wireless equipment such as wireless mics, two-way radios or wireless iem’s,
please send us the frequency list of your gear. There will be an R/F tech on each stage that will be taking care
of the frequency coordination.
@ Soundcheck/line check and show schedule
you will receive a show and soundcheck schedule. Please note that only the headliners will have a soundcheck/
line check shift. The rest of the acts will be assigned a load in and set up time and will do a line check during
the changeover. Also, due to local regulations regarding noise restrictions overnight shifts will be silent line
checks (headphones use), that is no PA / loud monitors or amplifiers onstage.
@ Audio recording/Live streaming/TV recording
As you know the festival will have a live webcast stream and radio transmission. It will also be recorded for
TV for a delayed special of the festival. Please indicate us your department or contact for this matter to
advance this regarding A/V recording of your show. Also if you have any restriction for camera position we will
need to know this in advance to work it out. Esteban Varela (his contact info above) will take care of all
technical aspects regarding this topic on the festival.

@ In Ear Monitors for the festival
The festival will provide a supply of (8 Channels) IEMs systems (SHURE PSM 900) on this stage for the
performances. This will be shared among all bands and won’t include headphones of any kind. Any special
requests should be notified in the advance process and will be taken as an artist cost.
@ Locally hired technicians/operators provided by the festival
The festival will provide PA, Monitors and Lighting operators for the bands that are not bringing their own (with
no ARTIST COST). In case you are hiring local Argentinian crew for your show please be aware that we have local
regulations regarding insurance and taxes and your EMPLOYEES will need to issue all necessary papers for this
labor.
@ VIP balconies on Alternative Stage
VIP balconies will be built over the working areas on Alternative Stage. This has a limited capacity and is
intended to hold special artist or promoter guests only.
@ Pyro/FX
You are able to use this items in your performance at Lollapalooza ARGENTINA but the costs of the gear,
consumables and working crew is an artist cost. If you are bringing your own Pyro/FX gear, consumables and/or
CREW, it’s very important that everything complies with local regulations and all paperwork is presented no
later than 2 (two) weeks before show day. If you need help with this procedure please inform your Stage’s PM
during the advance communications and we will be happy to assist you.
@ Sound restrictions
Due to local regulations we have sound restrictions at this festival. We have been permitted to open PA and make
line/sound checks at the following times shifts:
• Thursday, March 16th from 09:00am to 08:00pm
• Friday, March 17Th from 09:00am to 01:00am
• Saturday, March 18TH from 09:30am to 01.00am
• Sunday, March 19TH from 10:30am to 00:45am
(*) All time shifts will be discussed with the Stage manager of the stage once introduced.
@ Decibel limitations
San Isidro Municipality regulations require accomplishing a Decibel limitation at the Hippodrome. The last page of
this document shows a detailed brief regarding these limitations.
@ Press and promotion
There will be press covering the Festival.
Silvina will be your local contact to supply any information needed on this matter. Please send us your photo/
video policy so we can arrange accordingly. For your reference we usually grant first three songs.

ACOUSTIC POLLUTION CONTROL REPORT
In Argentina, along with the European Union and some Latin American countries, noise is considered as an
environmental polluting agent. The National law no 11723 IS about “Acoustic pollution control in the PROVINCE of
Buenos Aires” SAYS THAT “The goal of this law is to prevent, control and correct acoustic pollution that affects
both environment and people’s health, protecting them against noise and vibration from different sources and
controlling performances within the boundaries of Buenos Aires” (article 1o). Decree no 740/07 states the
Environment and Public Spaces Ministry as the authority for these matters. The Environmental Protection Agency
(APRA) as a dependence of the named Ministry and through the General Direction of Technical Evaluations (DGET) is
in charge of authorize and establish the proper acoustic conditions to perform shows and events in outdoor
venues.
In the case of Buenos Aires, the acoustic continuous level limit is set at 95 to 98 dBA at F.O.H. position with an
integration time of 1 (one) minute throughout the entire show/event. We (as local promoters) have the highest
available level as the maximum permitted; that in this case is 98 dBA. However the social atmosphere in the
venue surroundings will be the determining factor between the 95 and 98 levels. If the neighbors have been
complaining to the Municipality in the previous days to the show, the authorities can take advantage of the
lower number (95) in order to avoid future problems.
The measurements must be made by a competent professional tech hired by the show/event promoter, whom
must present a report informing these measurements taken both at F.O.H. as well as in the outer perimeter of
the venue. The General Direction of Control as a dependence of Buenos Aires Government will also send their own
inspection techs to take measurements.
These inspectors will inform the authorities about any law violation in order to execute the proper sanction or
fine that may include the closure of the stadium.
According to local regulations, background noise measured outside the venue on regular no-show days is defined
as a reference parameter. During Showtime, the same measurement is taken (in eight specific spots selected by
APRA) with an integration time of 5 minutes and then compared with the regular values.
The measurement taken during showtime can not exceed the measured taken in regular no-show days.
It is important to remark that the decibel is a dimensionless unit obtained from applying 10 (ten) times the
logarithm of the ratio of two sound pressure levels, being one of those pressure levels the reference of 20μPa

(twenty micro Pascals). The measuring device (sound pressure level meter) compares the incident sound pressure
level with the mentioned reference pressure level to calculate the final reading in decibels. Any variation in
sound level will be sensed by the sound pressure level meter and therefore it is essential to correct any
increase above limit since these increases will not be averaged but integrated (one minute integration).
To conclude, it is a shared responsibility to do a successful Festival without exceeding.
