 ACT I

SCREEN BLACK

Keys jingle, and audibly unlock a door.

FADE IN:

INT. -- PRISON CELL -- EARLY MORNING

ELIAS THORNE is led on his bed inside his cell, with his
knees up in the air. He is dressed in an orange jumpsuit,
revealing that he is imprisoned.

The door opens, and more light enters THORNE's cell, with the
silhouette of GUARD 1 casting onto THORNE. GUARD 1 is wearing
a blue shirt with a police hat on, armed with a baton and a
taser. He is a young man, with a stoic expression.

GUARD 1
"THORNE. Come on."

THORNE turns his head, facing the guard.

INT. -- PRISON CORRIDOR -- EARLY MORNING

THORNE, being escorted by the guard, walks down the corridor

with his hands in-front of him cuffed.

CAMERA FOLLOWS CLOSE BEHIND THORNE SHOWING HIM FROM UPPER

BACK UPWARD, AS WELL AS THE CORRIDOR HE WALKS DOWN

THORNE (V.O.)
"1825." He pauses, before continuing,
"1826 if you include leap years."

CAMERA IS NOW IN-FRONT OF THORNE, LOWER THAN HE IS, SHOWING

HIM WALKING WITH HIS HANDS CUFFED IN-FRONT OF HIM, AS WELL AS
SHOWING THE GUARD ESCORTING HIM.

THORNE (V.O.)
"I have waited Five years for this
moment."

CAMERA NOW FOLLOWS THORNE AND GUARD 1 FROM THE SIDE, STOPPING
AS THEY REACH A HATCH, WHERE GUARD 2 STANDS ON THE OTHER
SIDE.

GUARD 2
"Oh shit. I never thought i'd see the
day where you got out of here"

CAMERA IS NOW A CLOSE-UP OF THE DESK BETWEEN THORNE AND GUARD

GUARD 2
"I suppose you'll be wanting all this
stuff back then."

The guard walks back into the hatch, grabbing various

objects, before placing them one-by-one onto the desk.

> A leather wallet, worn and torn

> A leather belt, evidently old and weathered

> A photo of THORNE and a mysterious second person, evidently

a friend. They are both sat on some stairs smiling together.

THE CAMERA IS NOW BELOW THORNE, OVER THE SHOULDER OF THE

PHOTO FOCUSED ON IT, BEFORE FOCUS SHIFTS PAST IT TO THORNE'S
SOMBRE EXPRESSION.

THORNE nods to THE GUARDS, before turning to the side

THE CAMERA, NOW BEHIND THORNE, SILHOUETTES HIM IN THE BRIGHT

LIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOORS. AS THORNE BEGINS WALKING, THE FOCUS
DOES NOT SHIFT, AND THE BLOOM OF THE LIGHT ENVELOPS THE FRAME

SCREEN FADES FROM WHITE TO BLACK

INTRO SEQUENCE BEGINS, AND PLAYS THROUGH.

ACT II
______

SCREEN BLACK

The sound opens first, with the sound of hot water being
poured into a mug.

INT. -- THORNE HOME -- LATE MORNING

THE CAMERA OPENS ACT II TO A CLOSE-UP OF HOT WATER BEING

POURED INTO A MUG WITH A TEA BAG IN

The kettle is pulled away, and put to the side.

THE CAMERA CUTS TO A LOW SHOT, LOOKING UP AT THORNE

THORNE is sipping at his coffee, and looking down at a photo

in his hand.

THE CAMERA IS NOW OVER THORNE'S SHOULDER, ONCE AGAIN LOOKING

DOWN AT THE PHOTO.

MIKE
"It isn't worth it, you know."

THE CAMERA SITS NEXT TO THORNE, BUT IS FOCUSED PAST HIM ON

HIS FRIEND. THERE IS VISIBLE MOVEMENT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW THAT
NEITHER NOTICE.

MIKE
"Revenge will only bring you down with
him. It'll destroy you too."

MIKE walks closer to THORNE, putting his hand on his

shoulder.

VISIBLY THERE IS A GROUP OF INTRUDERS OUTSIDE THE GLASS DOOR

WITH WEAPONS.

MIKE
"Surely you can put it all behind you?
Move on. Live and let live."

MIKE's sentence is cut short, as a shot rings out, and a

bullet enters through the open door, striking him in the side
of the head, KILLING HIM INSTANTLY.

The camera is at a dutch angle, starting out of focus, before

focus pulls to THORNE's face, in shock with a face covered in

blood.

THORNE drops his now empty mug of tea, the mug falling to the
floor.

THE CAMERA SITS ON THE FLOOR, SHOWING THE MUG IMPACTING THE
GROUND, WITH MIKE'S BODY OUT OF FOCUS IN THE BACKGROUND.

THORNE acts fast, ADRENALINE running through his veins.

A DOLLY ZOOM IS USED TO SHOW THIS SHIFT IN ATTITUDE.

THORNE dashes forward, grabbing the one intruder armed with a

pistol, wrestling it out of his hand before throwing the
pistol across the room.

Grabbing INTRUDER 1, THORNE shoves him over to the table,

smashing his head onto it 3 times, starting, stopping, then
starting the music again

PLASTIC BERTRAND'S CA PLANE POUR MOI BEGINS TO PLAY.

____________________________________________________

THE CAMERA FOLLOWS ONE OF THE FOUR INTRUDERS AT THE BACK, AS

THEY ENTER INTO THE LIVING ROOM WITH BATS AND PIPES.

THORNE jumps out at the second intruder, swiftly landing a

hit on INTRUDER 2, before grabbing and wrestling the weapon
out of his hand.

INTRUDER 3 swings his weapon, but THORNE pulls INTRUDER 2

into the way as a human shield, making him take the hits.

INTRUDER 4 runs past INTRUDER 3 in an attempt to attack

THORNE, but instead has INTRUDER 2 thrown at him, knocking
him to the floor.

Before INTRUDER 3 can react, THORNE hits his knees hard using
a pipe, resulting in him dropping his bat. He moved on to
INTRUDER 4, who has only just wrestled the injured INTRUDER 2
off of himself, being met with a quick hit of a bat to the
head, breaking the bat and leaving THORNE unarmed.

INTRUDER 2 gets back up, drawing a knife.

Scrambling back, THORNE goes to INTRUDER 1's body and grabs

his knife.

THORNE and INTRUDER 2 begin a careful and dangerous knife

fight, both attempting to get slashes at each-other. THORNE
lunges and takes a stab to the leg, but retaliates with a
stab to INTRUDER 2's throat, causing him to drop his knife

and fall.

INTRUDER 3, still screaming in pain, tries to grab his

weapon, but THORNE is faster than him, kicking it to the
side.

THORNE
"Quit your crying. I know who sent
you."

THORNE grips the intruder by the throat, pulling his

balaclava off.

THORNE
"Tell me where he is, and I'll let you
walk out of here alive."

INTRUDER 3
Through gritted teeth and heavy
breathing, "You fucking bastard..."

THORNE
"Are you gonna tell me? Or are you
gonna bleed out in a strangers home
for nothing?"

THORNE pushes the knife blade slowly into his thigh, causing
him to scream in agony, the sound is audible and gross.

INTRUDER 3
"Fine...! Fine! I'll tell you! Just
stop! Stop it!"

He pulls the blade out, smirking at how quickly he cracked.

INTRUDER 3
We set up camp at the old farmyard
East of the city. He's got a temporary
base there after our last one was
raided..."

THORNE
He smiled at him. "See? Was that so
hard?"

THE CAMERA SITS AT INTRUDER 3'S HEIGHT LOOKING UP AT THORNE,

AS HE STANDS AND TURNS

THORNE
"But I'm not taking any chances of him
knowing i'm coming."

THORNE slashes INTRUDER 3's throat with the knife. INTRUDER

3's body falls limp and audibly collapses onto the floor.

INTRUDER 1 receives a text, and THORNE grabs his phone. It

reads 'WERE YOU SUCCESSFUL?' To which THORNE replies 'He's
Dead.'

THORNE approaches MIKE's corpse, closing his eyelids.

THE CAMERA PANS UP FROM THIS ACTION, FOCUSING ON THORNE'S

BLOOD COVERED, DETERMINED FACE.

INT. -- THORNE HOME -- MID AFTERNOON

A montage begins of THORNE patching and cleaning himself up,

changing out of his prison rags and instead suiting up,
putting on a BULLETPROOF VEST and a BLACK SHIRT, BLACK TIE,
BLACK BLAZER AND BLACK TROUSERS. THORNE grabs a briefcase out
of a secret compartment in his closet, opening and revealing
A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY. He closes it back, and stands.

He exits his house, briefcase in hand and gets in his car,

driving away with a determined look on his face.

EXT. -- EMPTY CARPARK -- LATE AFTERNOON

THORNE parks up in a lonely parking area, where 1 other car

sits. He exits his car, and approaches the second man,
handing the briefcase over. The man checks the briefcase and
nods, before opening his car boot. He hands THORNE a pistol,
a belt of magazines and a holster, which THORNE puts around
his waist, a knife on a leg holster.

He nods, before walking back to his car.

ACT III
_______

EXT. -- THE OLD FARM -- LATE AFTERNOON

SCREEN BLACK

CAMERA CUTS IN WITH DOOR SLAM SOUND

LONG SHOT OF THORNE AT THE END OF A LONG PATHWAY, APPROACHING

TOWARD THE CAMERA.

He is armed with a silenced pistol in hand with visible

magazines on his person, with a second pistol in his holster.

GUARD 1 spots him, and before he can react, THORNE fires a

shot through his throat, leaving him grasping at his neck
gargling.

The commotion alerts FOUR GUARDS to THORNE's location.

THORNE immediately takes a shot to the chest, blocked by his

vest. Firing retaliation shots, he misses a few shots before
successfully hitting the GUARD 2 in the head.

GUARD 3 approaches behind him, firing a shot into his thigh,

before THORNE turns, shouting in pain and emptying his
magazine into his general direction, missing all the shots,
He dashes to cover, and reloads his pistol, using the cover
to stabilise his hand, he shoots and kills GUARD 3

GUARD 4 and GUARD 5 run up and overwhelm THORNE with bats,

hitting him a few times and knocking his silenced pistol away
leaving him bruised and beaten, before THORNE reaches for his
2nd holstered pistol, firing multiple shots into GUARD 4 and
GUARD 5, killing them both.

THORNE catches his breath, pushing the bodies off him,

covered in blood, cuts and bruises.

As he stands, a door audibly opens and closes, followed by

footsteps down wooden stairs.

THORNE turns, seeing a man in an evidently more expensive

suit. It is the man from THORNE's photo that he was looking
back on earlier.

GOODMAN
"Shocked you even lasted long enough
to get here."

He removes his blazer, revealing a gun belt around his waist

with a SILVER ENGRAVED REVOLVER holstered.

GOODMAN
"Then again, you always were
stubborn."

THORNE drops the magazine out of his pistol, loading THE LAST
ONE on his gun belt.

THORNE
"And you were always a bastard."

The two of them ready themselves, widening their stances and

holding their hands above their holsters, both deciding to
make a sport out of it.

Tension builds as they both prepare to draw, and the music

builds before they both grab their weapons simultaneously.

TWO SHOTS RINGS OUT. A wide shot showing them both is shown,
both of them with their weapons pointed forward.

The camera cuts to the back of GOODMAN'S head, a large hole

shown in the middle, with THORNE'S face shown through it.

He falls onto his knees and out of shot, then audibly falls
to the floor.

GOODMAN is dead.

THORNE is not safe from this fate too, however, as the

reality dawns on him.

He looks down, and realises he has been shot just above his
vest. He looks up and coughs blood, dripping down his face.

He turns, facing the now evening sky.

Instrumental to KANYE WEST'S RUNAWAY begins playing

THORNE
"Shit. I should've seen this coming."

CUT TO BLACK, AS THE SOUND OF HIS BODY FALLING IS HEARD.

THE SONG CONTINUES AS THE TITLE SHOWS, AND CREDITS ROLL.
