EVENT OF LESSON EXAMPLE/ CONDITIONS OF LEARNING
INSTRUCTION
1. Gaining
attention Now, let’s start our day with a game. This game is called
“ACTING MO, SAGOT KO. I will divide you into 4 groups
according to the color of your nametag. Each group must have
one representative come here in front and act out every word
from the list without saying a word; it should be done through
facial expression, body movements, or hand gestures. The rest
of the team will guess what the actor is attempting to portray by
raising your flag. The team that gets the correct answer will
receive 10 points.
They’ll be acting this activity:
1.) Climate Change
2.) Deforestation
3.) Pollution
4.) Loss of Biodiversity
2. Informing the At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
learner of the a. Identify the environmental problems and issues;
objective b. explain the environmental problems as a cause of
decrease of organisms population and habitat
destruction; and
c. Value the importance of nature through an action
platform for environmental protection.
3. Stimulating Climate Change: As greenhouse gases, especially
Recall of prior carbon dioxide, grow, they trap heat in the
learning atmosphere of the Earth, causing it to warm up and
causing changes to weather patterns.
Deforestation: The clearing of forests for logging,
urban development, and agriculture causes habitat
loss, lower biodiversity, and increases carbon
emissions.
Pollution: Industrial, agricultural, and domestic
activities that pollute the air, water, and soil seriously
endanger human health and ecosystems.
Loss of Biodiversity: The planet's overall biological
diversity decreases by the gradual disappearance of
plant and animal species as a result of habitat
degradation, pollution, and climate change.
Resource Depletion: The excessive use of limited
resources, such as freshwater, minerals, and fossil
fuels, affects the environment and depletes these
vital components.
4. Presenting the Observe: Begin by taking a quick glance around
stimulus you. Keep an eye out for any odd weather patterns
or modifications in the behavior of animals and
vegetation.
Ask questions: Engage with your neighborhood.
Ask them whether they have noticed any recent
changes to the surroundings.
Read articles: Find out about environmental issues
that might be affecting your area by doing some
online or in-person research at the library.
Join a Group: Participate in neighborhood
environmental events or join local environmental
groups to meet individuals who share your concern
for the environment.
5. Providing 1.) Assess the starting point knowledge, skills,
Learner and learning preferences of the learners to
Guidance better understand their needs. This will
enable them to customize the advice to meet
their particular needs.
2.) In order for learners to know what to expect, it
is important to convey the learning objectives,
expectations, and overall framework of the
teaching in a clear and concise manner.
3.) Resources should be made available: Give
students the books, websites, and other
materials they need to improve their
understanding of the subject.
4.) Give Examples: To demonstrate key ideas
and their application, give real-world
examples, case studies, or scenarios.
5.) Encourage Questions: Establish a setting
where students feel free to ask questions and
seek clarification when they run into
problems.
6. Eliciting
Performance ACTIVITY
Before we proceed to our discussion, let us have first
another activity. With the same group, Each group will
receive an envelope that contains Pictures of different
type’s environmental problems. You are going to do is write
an explanation on how this environmental problem causes
of habitat destruction. I will give you 3 minutes and after
that each group will present your output.
ANALYSIS
Each group will select another representative to report their
output. The group 1 will rate the group 2 output, group 2 in
group 3, group 3 in group 4 and group 4 will rate group 1
based on given rubrics. The rubric are guided below:
10- need to study more
20- neutral
30- well
40- very well
50- perfect
7. Giving feedback During the environmental activity, give clear, helpful
comments, praising what they did well, gently correcting
misconceptions, establishing goals for progress, and
promoting queries and critical thinking.
8. Assessing I will show you a picture and after that select one
Performance representative from your team to share an insight about the
picture below.
The Philippines is considered as one of the biologically
richest countries in the world because of its high
biodiversity and various levels. We have all these rich
natural biological resources but we have not truly protected
them.
We are losing this global heritage due to habitat
destruction, overuse and pollution.
Destructive fishing methods
Deforestation
Animal Hunting
Pollutions
9. Enhancing Write YES if the statements promote environmental
Retention and protection and NO if does not.
Transfer
