1 Are the openings measuring 30 cm or more in its least dimension, in
any floor, pavement etc, barricaded?
2 Are the barricades visible from a safe distance?
3 Are caution boards, diversion boards, shutdown boards provided at
both end of barricades to control the traffic flow & guide the
vehicles into desired lane?
4 Are two persons with red/green flag and whistle deputed at both
ends of the barricades to regulate traffic?
5 Is red light provided on the barricades of job is to be done after
sunset at the site?
6 Has it been ensured that no material projected/ spilled beyond
barricades?
7 Have it been ensured that authorized persons remove the barricades
once the job is complete?
8 Are the projected bars used in barricades protected with bar cap to
cover the sharp projection of the bar?
9 Are the areas with temporary wiring operating at more than 600
volts barricaded with indicative barricaded comprising red-white
safety tape, if the job requires at most one day completing?
10 Are the areas with temporary wiring operating at more than 600
volts barricaded with protective barricades, if job requires longer
time to complete?
11 Is the swing radius of the rotating superstructure of cranes of other
equipment protected using minimum 50mm wide Red white safety
tapes to which one strand of tape run
12 Is the protective barricade of at least 1200 mm high erected around a
trench that is 1 meter or more deep?
13 Is protective barricade erected using corrugated steel sheets fulfills
all of the following: a) barricade height does not exceed the width of
one sheet, b) minimum 25 mm diameter rods are used for support, c)
rods are pegged into the ground for a depth not less than 300 mm, d)
rods are spaced at 1500 mm centre to centre maximum, e) sheets are
painted white (either with chuna or by any other means)?
14 Is the piling site to be barricaded using indicative barrier for
warning?
15 Is the gas cutting & welding site barricaded using minimum 50 mm
wide red white safety tapes for warning?
16 Are the rods and open areas adjacent to demolition site barricaded
with caution board and unauthorized entry prohibited?
Is there area barricaded for minimum distance of 1.5 times the
height of the wall to be dismantled of the maximum of the available

18 Are all floor openings/wall openings adequately guarded/barricaded
and danger caution notices provided?
19 Is the red light and/or luminescent danger signs placed on and
around the barricades during night?

passing parallel to railway track within 2 meter?
22 Are the permanent rail guards grouted in the ground along the side
of roads passing along water bodies like lake, cooling pond etc. and
on both sides of roads running on the top of ?
23 Are the rail guards along with hand and mid rails fixed permanently
on both side of the road passing on the top of a dam?
24 Are bridges crossing any stream having railing with hand rails and
mid rails?
25 Are the entry of the personnel and the trucks/cranes to the working
area restricted by using barricades and separate gate provided for the
entry of personnel and trucks for positive isloation
