IMPORTANT NOTE: if you crochet loosely, I suggest you buy 1-2 skeins more of each color
to make sure you have enough to finish the blanket!

Front Post Single Crochet (FPSC):

Insert your hook from front to back around the post of given stitch, from right to left, yarn over and
finish your single crochet as usual.

Back Post Single Crochet (BPSC):

Insert your hook from back to front around the post of given stitch, from right to left, yarn over and
finish your single crochet as usual.

Back Post Half Double Crochet (BPHDC):

Yarn over, insert your hook from back to front around the post of given stitch, from right to left, yarn
over and finish your half double crochet as usual.

Stitches in the HDC 3rd loop only (HDC3LO):

Look at the top of the stitch and locate the sideways ”V”, bend the stitch to look at the back and you
should see another ”V”. You will be working into the back loop of that ”V”. This creates a nice,
braided look.

Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC):

Yarn over, insert your hook from front to back around the post of given stitch, from right to left, yarn
over and finish your double crochet as usual.

Back Post Double Crochet (BPDC):

Yarn over, insert your hook from back to front around the post of given stitch, from right to left, yarn
over and finish your double crochet as usual.

Front Post Treble Crochet (FPTR):

Yarn over twice, insert your hook from front to back around the post of given stitch, from right to
left, yarn over and finish treble crochet as usual.

Single Crochet 2 together (SC2tog):

Insert hook in given stitch/space, yarn over and start making the single crochet as usual but leave the
stitch unfinished. Insert hook in next indicated stitch/space, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.

Double Crochet 2 together (DC2tog):

Yarn over hook, insert hook in given stitch/space, yarn over, pull through 2 loops and leave the stitch
unfinished. Yarn over hook again, insert hook in next indicated stitch/space, yarn over, pull through 2
loops twice.

Back Post Double Crochet 2 together (BPDC2tog):

Yarn over hook, insert hook from back to front around the post of given stitch, from right to left, yarn

Puff Stitch (Puff ST):

Yarn over hook, insert hook in given stitch/space, pull up a long loop through that stitch/space (3
loops on hook), (yarn over and insert hook into the same stitch/space, pull up a loop, same height as
the previous one) 3 more times. You should have 9 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all
9 loops on your hook, CH 1 to close the puff stitch. (CH 1 doesn’t count as a stitch)

Small Puff Stitch (SPuff ST):

Yarn over hook, insert hook in given stitch/space, pull up a long loop through that stitch/space (3
loops on hook), (yarn over, and insert hook into the same stitch/space, pull up a loop, same height as
the previous one) 2 more times. You should have 7 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all
7 loops on your hook, CH 1 to close the puff stitch. (CH 1 doesn’t count as a stitch)

Sideways Puff Stitch (SWPuff ST):

Before you make a sideways puff stitch you always have 3 DC STS (Picture 1)

Yarn over hook, insert hook in indicated stitch (this is going to be the ST you put the first DC into the
base ofthe first DC, NOT the DC itself!), pull up a long loop through that stitch/space (3 loops on
hook) (Picture 2)

(Yarn over hook again and insert hook into the same stitch, pull up a loop (same height as the
previous one) 3 more times. You should have 9 loops on your hook. (Pictures 3-5)

Picot Stitch (Picot ST):

CH 3, SLST into the third CH from hook

Popcorn Stitch (Popcorn ST):

Work 4 double crochet (dc) stitches in the same stitch. Drop the loop from your hook and insert your
hook from front to back under the top 2 loops of the first double crochet of the group. Grab the
dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch, CH 1 to close. (CH 1 doesn’t count as a
stitch)

V Stitch (V ST):

Double crochet in indicated stitch/space, chain 2, double crochet in same stitch.

Gauge: 5 DC and 2.5 rows = 1”/2.5 cm

Additional notes:

 If a row/round starts with a Chain 1 or 2, this is not counted as a stitch, unless stated
otherwise.
 Slip stitches do not count as stitches.
 US terms used throughout
 At the end of every round, there’s going to be a note with the stitch count, so you can keep
track of your work easily and avoid any mistakes. It’s written in a different color; the first line
in bold is always the total stitch count for the round (starting with round 34, this excludes
corner stitches). Below that, I included a stitch count per side (excluding corner stitches) and
per corner too, in case you prefer it that way.

 Weave in the ends after every 8-10 rounds to reduce the amount of ends to weave in at the
end 
 Notes are written in a different color in (brackets) to help you through the pattern.
 When working on the corners, always remember that there might be a hidden stitch hiding
under the corner stitches which is the first stitch of the previous row
 When you make a puff stitch, it creates 2 loops on its top. I will refer to these loops as first
loop and second loop. The first loop is always the one on the right and the second one is on
the left.
 You can start each round as I did in the pattern or you can use a standing stitch or chains, it’s
totally up to you!

I didn’t block my blanket when I completed it as I didn’t think it was necessary. However, if your
stitches are a bit too tight or the blanket is a bit wavy, feel free to block it. 

Instructions

To start: MR or CH 5, SLST into first CH to form a ring.

Round 1: Start with Color 1 (Coral)

CH 1, 8 Puff ST into the ring, join with a SLST to first loop of first Puff ST

Fasten off.
