ALICE + NARRATOR

SCENE 1 - IN THE GARDEN

NARRATOR: It’s a hot day in the garden. Alice, a happy little girl, is sitting with her
sister under a tree. Her sister is reading a book.

SISTER: Once upon a time there was a little girl. She liked playing in the garden…

ALICE: Hmm, my sister is reading a book, but there are no pictures. It’s too boring. I’d
like to go and pick some flowers.

NARRATOR: Suddenly, a White Rabbit with pink eyes runs past Alice.

ALICE: Sister, can you see it? Can you see it?

SISTER: See what? I don’t see anything.

ALICE: A white rabbit! It looks strange!

SISTER: No, I don’t see a rabbit! Let me read! “One day the girl goes to the forest…”

WHITE RABBIT: Oh no! I'm late!

NARRATOR: Alice is very surprised. The Rabbit looks at a watch and runs away.

ALICE: A Rabbit with a coat and a watch! I have to catch it!

SISTER: Where are you going, Alice? Come back!!!

NARRATOR: Alice runs after the Rabbit. It goes into a big rabbit hole under a hedge.

WHITE RABBIT: I can't be late! I must hurry!

NARRATOR: Alice follows the Rabbit into the hole. Suddenly, she starts falling.

ALICE: Oh, nooo. I'm falling! But it's slow. What are these? Cupboards? Pictures? A
jar? What's in that jar? Oh, it's empty. I can fall like this forever. Oh, is that a cake?
And some juice?

MAGIC JUICE: Hello, Alice! Drink me! It’s tasty!

CAKE: Hello, Alice! Eat me! It’s delicious!

NARRATOR: Alice lands in leaves. She sees the Rabbit and follows it.
WHITE RABBIT: Where is my watch? Oh… I'm really late now!

SCENE 2 - RABBIT HOLE

NARRATOR: Alice tries to catch the Rabbit, but it disappears. Alice goes around the
corner and sees a big room with locked doors.

ALICE: So many doors! How do I get out? I wish my cat was here! Oh, there's a table
with a key. It's too small!

NARRATOR: Alice takes the key and finds a little door. The key fits! Alice opens the
door and sees a lovely garden.

ALICE: I want to go! But I'm too big. Oh, There is a bottle. It says "DRINK ME." I'll taste
it.

MAGIC JUICE: Magic Juice is tasty, And takes away your worry,

Chase away those butterflies, Drink it in a hurry!

The bubbles are like magic, This drink in nice and cool.

When I drink this Magic Juice, I love to go to school!

but forgets the key. She cries.

ALICE: I'm too small! But wait! There's a box! It has a cake that says "EAT ME."

CAKE: I’m a super tasty cake, But I’m actually fake!

I’m made of plastic, But look fantastic!

Come on, Alice, take a bite!

ALICE: A plastic cake? Really?

CAKE: Just kidding. Here is a real cake. Try it!

NARRATOR: Alice eats the cake and grows bigger.

ALICE: I'm so tall now! I can reach the key!

Rabbit again.

WHITE RABBIT: I'm late for the game!

ALICE: Wait! Listen!

NARRATOR: The Rabbit runs away. But drops his fan and gloves. Alice takes the fan
and fans herself.

ALICE: Oh, I am getting smaller! Maybe it's the fan!

that her tears become a pool.

SCENE 3 - THE POOL OF TEARS

ALICE: Oh, someone's swimming! Oh, it's a big animal! No, it's scary! Is it a shark? Oh,
it's a mouse! It looks big because I'm small. I'll talk to it!

MOUSE: Yes, we are! We need towels! Many towels. But wait! You have feathers!
What do you think, parrot?

ALICE: What's a race?

PARROT: It's like running in a circle. Ready, go!

NARRATOR: Everyone runs. 1 hour later, the parrot stops them.

PARROT: Ok, stop! Everyone is dry now!

MOUSE: Great! And who wins?

PARROT: You all win!

DODO: We all win? So, everyone gets a prize!

EAGLE: A prize? Who gives the prizes?

DODO: You, Alice! You give the prizes!

EAGLE: Alice, give out prizes!

NARRATOR: Alice gives candy to everyone.

ALICE: Just 1 candy left.

DODO: Give it to me. Here, a candy for you!

ALICE: Thank you! I'm happy with this present. Mouse, tell me your story.

MOUSE: My story? It's long and sad.

ALICE: Your tail is long. Why are you running away?

MOUSE: You say that you have a cat… And I…. I don’t like cats. So, bye-bye.

ALICE: The mouse is gone! Can I talk about my cat now?

EAGLE: Who's your cat?

ALICE: Dinah! She's good at catching mice and birds!

PARROT: And birds??? Let's go! We can't stay here.

EAGLE: That's why the mouse goes away. Follow me!

SCENE 4 - RABBIT’S HOUSE

ALICE: Please don't leave me! They're gone! It’s because I talk about my cat Dinah.
Nobody here likes cats.

WHITE RABBIT: Alice, what are you doing? Get me my gloves and a fan, quick!

MUSHROOM: Are you a dancer? A singer? A princess?

ALICE: I don't know anymore.

CATERPILLAR: You don’t know? What do you mean?

ALICE: I grow bigger and smaller many times.

CATERPILLAR: Oh, really? I know all about this. I am a small Caterpillar, but soon I’m
going to be a beautiful big butterfly. And I will fly and fly and fly…

ALICE: Maybe I should go. Bye!

side can make you taller and another side will make you shorter.

NARRATOR: The Caterpillar dances again and slowly walks away.

MUSHROOM: Little Mr Mushroom, I live under a tree. I look at you, You look at me. I
have a hat, I have a stem. And I grow big after the rain.

ALICE: Which side? This mushroom is round! What is left and what is right?
