Free T3 ,Serum 2.66 pg/mL EUTHYROID : 1.58-3.91

Chemiluminescent Microparticle Immunoassay
HYPOTHYROID : < 1.58
HYPERTHYROID : >3.91
Pregnancy : 2-3.8
INTERPRETATION : The unbound fraction of total T3 concentrations, free triiodothyronine (FT3) is metabolically active hence, more useful than
measuring total T3 as altered levels of total T3 occur due to change in binding proteins, especially TBG as in case of normal pregnancy and
steroid therapy.
The concentration in a given specimen, as determined by assays from different manufactures can vary due to differences in assay methods &
reagent specificity.
2276093502-Mrs PADMA PAWAR-71 Years-Female

Patient preparation is important for hormone studies.

The results is affected by many factors such as, stress, diurnal variation, drug therapy, etc.

ADVICE : ANTI THYROID ANTIBODY IF CLINICALLY INDICATED.

Free T4 ,Serum 1.22 ng/dL EUTHYROID : 0.70 - 1.48

Chemiluminescent Microparticle Immunoassay
HYPOTHYROID : < 0.70
HYPERTHYROID : > 1.48
First Trimester : 0.7 - 2.0
Second Trimester : 0.5 - 1.6
Third Trimester : 0.5 - 1.6

INTERPRETATION :
- T4 circulates in the blood as an equilibrium mixture of free & protein bound hormone. FT4 is a better indicator of thyroid
hormone action than Total T4 because it is not affected by changes in Thyroxine Binding Globulin (TBG) or other Thyroxine Binding Proteins like
like in illness, drug intake or pregnancy.
-The concentration in a given specimen, as determined by assays from different manufactures can vary due to differences in assay methods &
reagent specificity.
-Patient preparation is important for hormone studies. The results is affected by many factors such as, stress, diurnal variation, drug therapy, etc.
ADVICE : ANTI THYROID ANTIBODY IF CLINICALLY INDICATED.
