MESSAGES FROM OUR
DEAR PROFESSORS
Prof. Archana Prasad
I would like to congratulate the M.A 4th Semester
students for passing out this course. Some of the
people in this batch were very enterprising and good.
Particular moments are there - during the controversy
that was generated, during Farmer's Struggle and such
kinds of issues where the class collectively took a
stand. It was very nice. I hope you remain socially
conscious and do well in life.
Prof. Anamitra Roychowdhury
First of all congratulations that you will get your M.A.
degree soon. You know, I had some memorable classes
with you all particularly for optional courses and some
of you actually push me to think. Another thing that I
have found is that in two years there is a lot of
transformation. You have become more conscious
about your surroundings and relate to the real world. I
think that is a very big achievement for the Centre, for
us.
I hope you will take that wherever you are going and
you will try to impart that further. I wish you all the
best! If something good happens to you, please come
and tell us.
Prof. Pradeep Shinde
I enjoyed interacting with you guys. I look forward to
knowing about your future endeavors and I wish you
all the best and take care. Work hard as hard as
possible if you really want to be successful in life. If
you do not, it is entirely up to you, it is none's fault.
I wish you all the best for your bright future.
Prof. Kali Chittibabu
I would like to extend my best wishes to all the
outgoing M.A batch students of the Centre. From the
bottom of my heart, I really enjoyed it while teaching
the students of the outgoing batch.
I find students are very enthusiastic about their studies
and good in academics and I am really hopeful for
everyone in my courses that they will achieve their goal
in future. I have no doubt in any student. There is
something unique in every student's creativity and all
other aspects. Also I will definitely feel proud if our
students from the Centre achieve something. I would be
the first one to be happy and I really wish each and
every student all the best for their successful career.
Prof. Minaketan Behera
As you begin the next phase of your journey, you must
recognise that the knowledge you acquired during your
MA in Development and Labour Studies is not just a set
of facts and figures but a powerful tool to enact
meaningful change in the world. As you bid Farewell to
this academic chapter, embrace the challenges ahead
with courage and determination. Your dedication to
understanding the complexities of development and
labour issues equips you to be agents of positive
transformation. Have confidence in your skills, remain
determined when confronted with challenges, and
always remember the influence you may have. Accept my
heartfelt congratulations and sincere best wishes for
your forthcoming pursuits!
Prof. Avinash Kumar
Dear Students,
It has been a great pleasure knowing and interacting
with you over the past two years. We had met just after
the covid pandemic and not many centres had started
taking offline classes. But when we decided to go fully
offline, I remember the enthusiasm with which you all
accepted this and made the centre very lively along with
the senior batch students. The discussions in the
classroom, of course have been very engaging, by
equally engaging have been the fun and togetherness.
Thanks for your efforts in institutionalising the
celebration of the Labour Day in the Centre along with
other students. Wish you all the best and hope you all
excell in the path that you choose for yourself. Keep
your spirits high and keep loving each other! Thank you
MESSAGE FROM BATCH OF 2025
Dear Seniors,
You were among the first people we interacted with after joining
this university. Our memories of JNU will always be embedded
with your presence. Thank you for being the most caring, kind
and approachable people we could’ve asked to be around.
Whether it’s assignment tips, exam help or in general life advice,
we’ve always looked up to you. We learned from you that
friendships can go beyond the four walls of our classroom. We’ll
miss your warm smiles, enthusiastic presence and comforting
words in the corridors of CISLS. All the very best for wherever
you go and whatever you pursue. We wish all good things to
come your way!
PS - Keep coming back and give us all life updates, chai/coffee
will be on us :)
