a) Explain the concept of freedom of speech and expression.
b) Define state.
c) Study the restrictions of Freedom of Religion in India.
d) Present position of right to education.
e) Special provisions for women and children. (4x4=16 Marks)

a) Anewspaper published a report stating that the Chief Justice of High Court
was involved in a scandal. Later it was found to be a wrong allegation. Decide.
b) Female law officers taken in Navy were not allowed to continue in service
after the expiry of the short service commission, which their male counterparts
were given the option if found satisfactory. Decide.

territorial waters. Kerala government issued administrative orders on
contravention of the above provision. Decide.
d) ABritish diplomats’s wife delivered a baby girl in Delhi. They claimed Indian

e) Clerks — grade 1 working in the secretariat were given a higher pay composed
to Clerks in the Panchayat offices. Can they claim pay at par with these
clerks on the secretariat (4x6=24 Marks)

a) Discuss difference between Directive principles and fundamental rights. Which
is superior ?
b) Study the equality provisions under Article 14.
c) Explain the protection given for offenders in the Indian Constitution.
d) Explain the right to form associations and the reasonable restriction imposed.
e) Explain the ambit of Due process clause impliedly read into the constitution and
Article 21 along with Public Interest litigation concept. (3x10=30 Marks)
