1 MATERIALS AND METHODS
A. Materials
MATERIAL FUNCTION
Stepping platform Steal It will serve as the platform of the
pedestrian. If the pedestrian stepped on
the platform the device will automatically
pump down and the machine will work.
Bearings Is a device that is used to enable
rotational or linear movement, while
reducing friction and handling stress.
Sprocket Is a profiled wheel with teeth, or cogs,
that mesh with a chain, track or other
perforated or indented material?
Chain A connected flexible series of metal links
used for fastening or securing objects and
pulling or supporting loads.
Fly Wheel A heavy revolving wheel in a machine
that is used to increase the machine’s
momentum and thereby provide greater
stability or a reserve of available power
during interruptions in the delivery of
power to the machine.
Return spring A resilient device, typically a helical metal
coil that can be pressed or pulled but
returns to its former shape when released
used chiefly to exert constant tension or
absorb movement.
Battery A container consisting of one or more
cells in which chemical energy is
converted into electricity and used as a
source of power.
DC Motor An electrical generator that converts
mechanical energy to electrical energy in
the form of alternating current.
B. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
TOOL & EQUIPMENT FUNCTION
Grinder Is a handheld power tool use for grinding
(abrasive cutting) and polishing
Drill A drill is a tool primarily used for making
round holes or driving fasteners. It is fitted,
either drill or driver, depending on application,
secured by a chuck.
Welding Machine Is used to join two metal pieces together
Wrench Is a hand tool used to turn a bolt head or nuts
Cutting Disk Is used for cutting hard materials, this tools is
very similar to an angle grinder with main
difference being cutting disk itself.
Steel Tape Is a flexible ruler and used to measure
distance.
Multimeter A multimeter or a multitester, also known
as a VOM (volt-ohm-millimeter), is
an electronic measuring instrument that
combines several measurement functions
in one unit. A typical multimeter can
measure voltage, current, and resistance.
Charge Controller A charge controller, charge regulator or
battery regulator limits the rate at which
electric current is added to or drawn from
electric batteries. It prevents overcharging
and may protect against overvoltage,
which can reduce battery performance or
lifespan and may pose a safety risk.
