Class Prophecy

"Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul; the blueprints of your ultimate achievements."
Napoleon Hill (American author)
Have you ever wondered what would you be 10 or 20 years from now?

THE room was silent except for the sound of my keyboard as I typed
furiously, hoping to complete revising my manuscript before midnight.
Seven years have passed since I graduated from the university of my dreams.
It has been quite the trip to create a space where people can unwind and
savour a delectable cup of coffee. I was so occupied with what I was doing,
however an email notice interrupted me. It was an invitation to the National
Museum's upcoming art exhibit on Saturday. The dawn was almost peeking
when I finally finished editing my manuscript and decided to nod off.
Saturday came, and I was out of words and captivated by all the exquisite
paintings and creative creations that were right in front of me. It was such a
breathtaking scenery to indulge in. I was really having the time of my life
touring the different art creations from various artists; however, my eyes
were locked in on this one painting that really caught my interest. I don’t
know why it brings so much nostalgia to me. Upon reading its description, I
was taken aback when I saw that the painting was made by my high school
classmate back then, Moriel Jabagat. A prominent, influential, and award-
winning artist of his time. Not only that, he has also built his own art school,
where he teaches and shares his knowledge with young, skilled individuals
who also aspire to be like him. I also got the chance to meet one of the
country’s icon in photography, Adrian James Contad. And got the chance
to interview him and have his immaculate shots also be featured on the blog
that I’m currently working on about this art exhibit.
Before heading home, I decided to fetch my nephew from school. I decided
to room around their campus because it has been quite a while since I last
visited here. When I was about to sit on the bench under the shed of a tree,
a familiar voice called me. It was Myna Chiusime Tampus! The topnotcher
in the licensure examination for mathematics teachers and one of the keen
and worthy of emulation professor on this campus. We decided to go to the
school cafeteria to have some snacks and, of course, catch up because it has
been such a long time since we last spoke to each other. She also told me that
our good friend Lendy Torres had just recently moved into Malalangsi
Prime School as their new English teacher. She was also an award-winning
and sought-after English teacher of her time, as she had won multiple awards
from the English story book competitions she had joined. Many people
admired her story as it talked about her experiences in different walks of life
before reaching the top of the mountain. I also met my friend, Jeanylito
Vallega, who’s also a top-seed and influential mathematics teacher in the
said school. The bell finally rang, so we decided to bid each other goodbye.
On our way home, the traffic was quite heavy as there was a commotion on
the street. “I think there’s a vehicular accident! ”My nephew said. Well, I
guess so. Thankfully, we’re in the opposite lane. The road was filled with
sirens. There were also immediate police patrolmen who came to fix and
investigate the incident. I couldn’t help but stop as I recognized some of the
patrolmen’s. SPO1 Jesse Quinilitan, SPO1 Mc Nichole Casipong, SPO4
Denver John Torres, and SPO2 John Richard Vallega. The four noble
policemen who had been graced with several awards for their commendable
contributions to our country, especially the recent capture of the mastermind
of all the illegal drugs here in the Philippines, with the help of our their
friend, Lieutenant General John Paul Diego and Lieutenant Maxim
Vallega. They’re one of the sought-after men in uniform in the country
because of their integrity and unwavering commitment to their oath, and
because of that, they became men of the people. It was already getting late,
so we decided to head home.
Several weeks had passed since our encounter with some of my high school
friends, and I couldn’t help but feel blue, reminiscing about how we used to
dream of the things that we had now and how we used to think that it was
impossible to reach them. It was a success to publish the first blog that I
wrote about the recent art exhibit. I was currently at my book café right now
checking for some supplies when one of my employees called me. “Uhm,
pardon me, Miss M, someone is looking for you outside.” I decided to leave
what I’m doing behind and go check who’s looking for me outside. “Oh my
gosh!” That was the word that she said when I finally reached our lounge
area, and as such, I already knew who it was. My long time friend, Alexa
Limuaco, a licensed professional psychiatrist who owns one of the most well-
known mental institutions here in the Philippines. We talk about a lot of
things over a cup of coffee. I had so much fun even though it was a short
catch-up, as she decided to head straight to her clinic when she got a call
from her secretary, and besides, I had someone to meet with later on.
After I finish checking everything, I decided to meet my good friend, Joel
Villarosa, the toughest and most elite scout ranger of his time, who also
owns a construction company. We decided to meet over lunch at a private
restaurant that I’ve booked that’s owned and managed by my dear friend, the
world’s renowned and outstanding chef, Carlyn Jane Dael. I’m planning on
collaborating with him on the building of my second, and probably biggest,
branch of my café. I told him about my plans and their possible location, and
he gave me several pieces of advice. I had quite a deal to negotiate with him.
Right after all my scheduled meetings, I headed straight to my dental
appointment for my prophylaxis dental cleaning today with my dentist, Dr.
Lolet Torres. An exceptional dental specialist and the owner of Luminous
Ortho, one of the country’s most trusted dental clinics. I also bump into RN
Ronabeth Manoso, who happens to be Dr. Lolet’s dental assistant. The
most adorned and notable nurses in the country for her unmatched
commitment and passion in serving all of her patients with so much love and
care.
My birthday’s coming near, and I’ve always dreamed and manifested of
celebrating my birthday while cruising. And to fulfil that childhood wish, I
had made my early reservations for the renowned, third-largest cruise ship
in the world to ever take its vessel, which is owned by Captain John Niño
Gomez and Co-Captain Dexter Jay Guevarra. The astonishing,
exceptional, and inspiring captains of the maritime. Well, there’s no doubt
why their cruise ship is still on top; it’s the most exquisite cruise ship
everyone has ever laid eyes on, and for sure, every passenger would enjoy
their cruise as it’s smooth sailing because it has the most incredible anchors.
Well, it surely was such a sail achieving our life-long aspirations. However,
I hope we still continue to take sail through life’s storms no matter how
strong its wave current is, because we’ll never know what’s in store for us if
we won’t explore the vastness of the ocean.
