Children of color and their parents face challenges in the


U.S. because of the strict messaging given and received
in order to survive in this country.

Parents raising children of color in the US are faced with


the difficulty of explaining what it means to live in a black
body within a dangerous community faced with
systematic inequality.
The continuous attack on the body of color in America
has forced parents to create a home environment that is
in constant warning mode for their children, so they
don't lose their body.

Institutional racism will have people of color believing


that they are inferior and do not matter, therefore
breaking a body's spirit.
