TENDER CHANGE NOTE 01 (TCN – 01) DT: 07-01-2011

WITH REFERENCE TO THE NIT, PUBLISHED IN THE WEB SITES FOR PILING, CIVIL,
STRUCTURAL AND ARCHITECTURAL WORK ETC. OF ‘COAL HANDLING PLANT’ PACKAGE
AND ‘ASH HANDLING PLANT’ PACKAGE FOR 2X520 MW HNPCL/ VIZAG TPP,
VISHAKHAPATNAM, AP. FOLLOWING CHANGES MAY PLEASE BE NOTED AND COMPLIED
WHILE SUBMITTING THE OFFER FOR THE SUBJECT JOB.

REF: TENDER DOCUMENT NO-PSER:SCT:VIZ-C1161:10

1) All the points raised by the bidders were clarified at length during pre-bid meeting at
ISG/Bengaluru held on 05/01/2011. The complete queries and clarifications as discussed
during pre-bid meeting have been detailed as per ANNEXURE-AA.

2) In line with the pre-bid clarifications and other changes, the BOQ cum rate schedule
(Price schedule, Volume-III) has been revised and enclosed herewith as Rev-01. As such
all the bidders are requested to note that the price schedule, Volume- III, Rev-0 stands
cancelled and submission of Price bid on this schedule shall not be considered. As
such all the Bidders are requested to submit their price bid as per revised BOQ cum Rate
Schedule (Volume-III, Rev-01) only.
3) Bidders are requested to note that the details of soil report as available for the main plant
area has already been given in the tender. No other details towards soil investigation is
available as of now. However, further details, if available, shall be uploaded in the web
only for tender purpose with no cost implication to BHEL.
4) Based on the request of the bidders, the due date of submission of bid has now been
extended to 21/01/2011.

5) Revised `No deviation certificate’, Annexure-Y is attached herewith. Bidder to submit `No deviation
certificate’ as per attached format only
All the bidders are requested to download the above details and consider the same prior to
submission of bid. BIDDERS TO NOTE THAT ALL TCNS WILL FORM PART OF TENDER
DOCUMENT.

percent) of the awarded contract valule as per LOI/WO.
6 The rates quoted shall be inclusive of cleaning of site of any vegetation, dressing and leveling etc including fixing of grid pillars, benchmarks
etc required for commencement of site activities. No separate payment will be made towards the same.
7 Rates shall be quoted in figures and in words in clear legible writing. No overwriting is allowed. All scoring and cancellations should be
countersigned and in case of illegibility the interpretation of engineer shall be final. All entries shall be in English.
8 The tender shall be deemed to have visited site and made himself aware of all the site conditions, studied the specifications and details of
work to the done within the time schedule attached and to have acquainted himself of the conditions prevailing at site.
9 Engineer’s decision shall be final and binding on the contractor regarding clarification of items in the schedule with respect to the other
