BARANGAY EXECUTIVE ORDER
NO. __4__ Series of 2024
AN EXECUTIVE ORDER FOR THE RECONSTITUTION OF THE BARANGAY PEACE
AND ORDER COMMITTEE (BPOC) OF BARANGAY SAN LUIS, PAGSANGHAN,
SAMAR
Pursuant to Executive Orders No. 309, s. of 1987 and 366, s. of 1996, as amended, the
Barangay Peace and Order Committee (BPOC) of Barangay San Luis, Pagsanghan,
Samar, is hereby reconstituted as follows:
Section 1: Composition – The Barangay Peace and Order Committee shall be
composed of the following:

Members: HON. EDGILYN M. SALIPOT , SK Chairperson
MRS. NENITA ARRIEGA , Lupon Member
MR. QUIANO A. MANOZA , Public School Teacher

The Punong Barangay may appoint Sectoral Representatives to the Committee
as may be necessary or depending upon the needs and situation in the Barangay.
Section 2. Functions. The Functions of BPOC shall be as follows:
1. Formulate the Barangay Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan which shall be
incorporated in the Barangay Development Plan and recommend measures to
improve or enhance the implementation of peace and order program in the
community;
2. Monitor and coordinate the implementation of Peace and Order programs and
projects at the barangay level, including anti-illegal gambling activities;
3. Serve as an information-gathering mechanism;
4. Establish and maintain profile of all residents in the barangay;
5. Monitor and check the nefarious activities of criminal elements;
6. Identify barangay constituents who have strong deviant behavior for referral to
appropriate authorities;
7. Maintain continuing dialogues, close coordination and support with the higher
POC and law enforcement units;
8. Monitor, coordinate and supervise the operation of all community-based anti-
crime movements within the barangay;
9. Make periodic assessment of the prevailing peace and order situation in the
barangay, and submit a report, to include an assessment and situation report on
illegal gambling, with appropriate recommendations to the higher-level POC; and
10. Perform such other functions which may be assigned by the higher level POC.
Section 3: The BPOC Secretariat – The BPOC Secretariat is likewise
constituted as follows:
1. Head: MARK ANGELO E. GOFREDO
2. Assistant: HON. JANICE S. UY
3. Assistant: MARILOU V. GENSIS
Section 4: Functions of the BPOC Secretariat – The BPOC Secretariat shall
perform the following functions and responsibilities:
1. Handle the administrative, operational and technical activities of the BPOC;
2. Prepare Plans and Programs for the consideration of the Committee;
3. Supervise, direct and monitor, for the committee, implementation of approved
policies, plans and programs;
4. Undertake liasoning and coordination activities with appropriate agencies of
the government; and
5. Provide forum for inter-disciplinary dialogue and deliberation of major issues
and problems affecting the peace and order;
Section 5: Effectivity – This Order shall take effect immediately.
