Last meeting, we had discussed about the
male reproductive system.
Can somebody from the class discuss what The male reproductive system refers to
is it all about? the organs involved in sexual function
ELICIT (7 mins) and in the production of children in men
or people assigned male at birth
(AMAB).
Very Good!
Who else remember its importance to our
body?
• Produce, maintain and transport
sperm cells and semen. Sperm
cells are male reproductive
cells. Semen is the protective
fluid around sperm.
• Discharge sperm.
• Produce and secrete male sex
hormones.
That’s right.
How about the parts, can you enumerate?
Testis, scrotum, penis, vas deferens,
urethra, epididymis, urinary bladder,
seminal vesicle, prostate gland, and
bulbourethral gland.
Very Good!
It seems that you all got the correct answers
and you really learned what we had
discussed previously.
Now, last meeting I gave you an
Yes, Sir.
assignment, right?
Your assignment was to research at least 1
disorder/disease related to male
reproductive system.
I need five volunteers to share their work in
5 students share their output.
the class.
Possible answers:
Erectile Dysfunction (ED):
Also known as impotence, erectile
dysfunction is the inability to achieve or
maintain an erection sufficient for
sexual intercourse.
Prostate Cancer:
Prostate cancer occurs in the prostate
gland, which is a small walnut-shaped
gland that produces seminal fluid.
Testicular Cancer:
Testicular cancer develops in the
testicles, which are responsible for
producing sperm and testosterone.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH):
BPH is a non-cancerous enlargement of
the prostate gland, commonly occurring
in older men.
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs):
Various STIs can affect the male
reproductive system, including
gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and
HIV/AIDS.
Are familiar with this game, “Complete
Me”? Yes, sir.
Okay, very good!
ENGAGE (5 mins) FEMALE
VAGINA
REPRODUCTION
EGG CELL
Based on the pictures that you have seen,
what do you think is our topic this morning? Sir, The Female Reproductive System
Very Good!
Before we dive in to our discussion let us
have first our activity.
Instructions for Groupings: Earlier today, I
have placed different shapes in the arm
chair and these shapes represents your
group.
General Instruction:
The class will be divided into 6 groups.
(Square, Circle, Rectangle,
Triangle, trapezoid, and oblong). Each
group will have a different set
of materials according to their assigned
tasks.
Together with your groupmates you will
EXPLORE ( 17 mins) have to identify and describe the parts of the
reproductive system. You will be given 10
minutes to do so. At the end of your
collaboration, you will choose two
representatives to present your work to the
class. Each group will have 2 minutes to
present their output.
SQUARE & CIRCLE – color and identify
the female reproductive organ.
TRAPEZOID & OBLONG – arrange the
unscrambled photo of female reproductive
organs and paste it in the reproductive organ
template. Identify the parts and describe its
functions.
RECTANGLE & TRIANGLE – Create a
short (45 secs) jingle about female
reproductive system and present it in the
class.
“Uterus, fallopian tubes, and more you
hold,
In the circle of life, your story's told.
With cycles and changes, you guide the
way,
In the miracle of birth, come what may.
Oh, female reproductive system, strong
and true,
Nurturing life, it's what you do.
With eggs and hormones, you pave the
way,
In the miracle of birth, every single day.”
What comes to your mind when you hear
the word “The Female Reproductive The female reproductive system is made
System”? up of the internal and external sex organs
that function in the reproduction of new
offspring.
That’s right.
Can somebody share what are the female
reproductive organs? Ovary, oviduct, uterus, vagina, and
cervix
Very Good!
Now, let us discuss the female reproductive
organs.
EXPLAIN (15 minutes)
The female reproductive system is the body
parts that help women or people assigned
female at birth (AFAB):
• Have sexual intercourse.
• Reproduce.
• Menstruate.
Vagina
What is vagina?
Receives the penis of male during
mating
Your vagina is a muscular canal that joins
the cervix (the lower part of uterus) to the
outside of the body. It can widen to
accommodate a baby during delivery and
then shrink back to hold something narrow
like a tampon. It’s lined with mucous
membranes that help keep it moist.
Cervix
Your cervix is the lowest part of your
uterus. A hole in the middle allows sperm to
enter and menstrual blood to exit. Your
cervix opens (dilates) to allow a baby to
come out during a vaginal childbirth. Your
cervix is what prevents things like tampons
from getting lost inside your body.
Uterus
Do you have any idea what uterus is?
Serves as a site of egg in implantation
Your uterus is a hollow, pear-shaped organ
that holds a fetus during pregnancy. Your
uterus is divided into two parts: the cervix
and the corpus. Your corpus is the larger
part of your uterus that expands during
pregnancy.
Ovaries
What is ovary?
Produces egg cells
Ovaries are small, oval-shaped glands that
are located on either side of your uterus.
Your ovaries produce eggs and hormones.
Fallopian tubes
These are narrow tubes that are attached to
the upper part of your uterus and serve as
pathways for your egg (ovum) to travel
from your ovaries to your uterus.
Fertilization of an egg by sperm normally
occurs in the fallopian tubes. The fertilized
egg then moves to the uterus, where it
implants into your uterine lining.
Can you enumerate the parts of the female
reproductive system?
Ovary, oviduct, uterus, vagina, and
cervix
Excellent!
Again, what is the main function of the
female reproductive system in our body? The female reproductive system is the
body parts that help women or people
assigned female at birth (AFAB):
• Have sexual intercourse.
• Reproduce.
• Menstruate.
• As a Grade 10 student, how
important to you is knowing the
parts and functions of the female
reproductive system? As a Grade 10 student, knowing the
parts and functions of the female
ELABORATE (5 mins) reproductive system is incredibly
important to me for several reasons.
Firstly, understanding how my body
works allows me to take control of my
own health and well-being. Knowledge
about the female reproductive system
helps me recognize any potential issues
or abnormalities, empowering me to
seek appropriate medical care if needed.
Direction: In a 1 half sheet of paper, identify
the parts of the female reproductive system
based on the given structure.

For 15 points, research at least 1
disorder/disease related to female

next meeting.
Write it on a short bond paper (handwritten
or encoded). Times New Roman, 12, and
