Fun is what you have when you are not invested in the outcome.
You can play
Candy Crush for fun, but at the end of the game you have accomplished very little.
Stacking 5 strawberries in a row is not necessarily an achievement worth pinning
on the refrigerator. Ultimately the dopamine rush is what makes this feel like a
game worth playing.
Joy is what you feel when the investment of effort pays off in a reward. Athletes
experience so much joy from the satisfaction of victory after hard work, that it is
easy to recognize it’s value. So here is our recommendation to the parents of our
athletes, and the athletes themselves.
Want a burst of happiness and relaxation? It’s time to try physical activity!
Whether you are playing sports, working out at a gym or taking a brisk walk,
physical activity triggers brain chemicals that make you feel happier and more
relaxed.
Team sports in particular provide a chance to unwind and engage in a satisfying
challenge that improves your fitness.
They also provide social benefits by allowing you to connect with teammates and
friends in a recreational setting.
I took a lot of joy in disrupting attacking moves, good old 1 on 1 defending,
intercepting the ball and breaking away on the counter-attack.
For others, well, for all of us really, there is a physiological reason: Endorphins. Your brain
releases all kinds of chemicals into your bloodstream as a reaction to the extreme
physical exertion. These chemicals leave us with a happy, contented, relaxed feeling
Football, unlike cricket, has no moment of dullness. There is excitement till
the last second of the 90-minute game. The joy of passing the ball from
the jungle of opponents, and the joy of smashing the ball to the goal is
priceless. As the player is moving forward with the ball, there is always
that danger of getting the ball snatched away by the opponent.
How many regular sports can you play while it’s raining? Football is
one such beauty. The joy of playing in rain is something that needs
to be felt. It kindles the inner kid in you who would love to get dirty
and messy in the rains. We race, wading in the muddy water and go
skidding after the ball. We push and pull and slip, making splashes
around them. Each time we fall, we hear a fresh round of laughter.
This feeling has never changed
In a world where boundaries are blurring by the day, all it takes is a
90 minute long football match to evoke love, passion, persistence,
team spirit, brotherhood and sportsmanship not only among those
playing but also among those watching. And in all honesty I believe
the world needs more of this than ever before. So come on now, Let’s
Rejoice in the Beautiful Game..!
HAPPINESS IS A CHILD
AND A BALL
Whether it's the happiness of scoring a goal, the moment of celebrating with our teammates, or
the simple joy of playing the beautiful game, let us cherish every smile, every laugh, and every
victory, no matter how small.
Sport is about the thrill. The fun. The emotional ups and downs. The celebrations. The
pressure. The camaraderie. The unity. The conflicts. The spirit and tenacity. Fleeting
moments of invincibility.
And at the end of the day, it's about the freedom and joy of play, and also the challenge of
striving to perform at your best. It's the love of the game
Football offers a universal language, one of joy, peace, hope, love and passion. In a time of
conflict, football gives us cause to marvel, cheer, support, share and celebrate.
Entertaining, inclusive and fun, football can forge friendships, encourage cultural discovery,
bring joy to communities and unite the entire world.
It can create positive change around the world, promoting healthier lifestyles, engaging
people of all ages in physical activity, and encouraging children to launch healthy habits
which last a lifetime.
The Joy of ordinary things in life
The Definition of Joy
Being joyful is one of life’s simplest but most rewarding pleasures. Joy
is defined as a feeling of great happiness, satisfaction, and delight. It is
often the result of pleasant experiences, accomplishments, or
relationships.
But, joy is not just about the good times or external factors, it is a
state of mind that can be cultivated from within. Focusing
on gratitude, helping others, and finding meaning in your life can all
contribute to experiencing more joy.
Cultivating joy is a journey that can start with small steps, like taking a
moment to appreciate something beautiful or reflecting on a happy
memory. Remember, joy is not a destination, but a way of being that
can enrich your life in countless ways.
In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the beauty in everyday
moments. One way to find joy in the ordinary is to slow down and pay
attention to what’s around you.
Take a deep breath and notice the smells, sounds, and sights that
surround you. Really savor that cup of coffee or tea, and appreciate
the warmth it brings to your hands. Observe the colors of the leaves
changing in the autumn breeze.
Take a moment to notice the beauty in the everyday, like the morning
sunlight streaming through your window or the sound of birds
chirping outside. It doesn’t have to be something grand or
spectacular; finding joy in the ordinary things can be just as
meaningful.
When you pay attention to the present moment, you’ll find that
there’s so much to appreciate in life’s simplest pleasures.
Today is a gift, and it’s important to appreciate and find joy in the
ordinary things that make up our daily lives
Joy comes to us
in ordinary moments.
We risk missing out
when we get too busy
chasing down
the extraordinary.
Brene Brown
We are in a time where everything is rushed and we are always busy.
Finding joy in the ordinary doesn’t require a magic wand—just a slight
shift in perspective to uncover those extraordinary moments that are
hiding in plain sight.
We can feel the warmth and smell of coffee, listen to the quiet in our nap, and feel
the togetherness during the family dinner. These small things might be ordinary for
us, yet they can be extraordinary among others. By noticing and embracing the
moment, we just bring the satisfaction out of our ordinary routines.
