CONDUCT OF ONE DAY SEMINAR CUM EXHIBITION ON
“AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATION - AN ENABLER IN ACHIEVEING
ATMANIRBHARTA IN MILITARY AVIATION”
Dear Sir,
RCMA(Chd) is one of the 18 RCMAs of CEMILAC, the Military Airworthiness and
Certification Agency entrusted with providing Certification coverage for following activities:
Ab-initio Design & Development of Air Systems & Airborne Stores
Support for Modification, Upgrade of Air Systems
Indigenous substitution
2. CEMILAC has taken many initiatives to promote indigenization and support Indian
Industry to participate in “Make in India” initiative of Government of India.
3. As part of these initiatives, Regional Centre for Military Airworthiness (Chandigarh)
& CII is organising One day Seminar cum Exhibition on 06th April 2024 at 3 BRD, Airforce
Station, Chandigarh. Aim of the Seminar is to disseminate information about initiatives of
CEMILAC, DGAQA & DRDO towards helping Industry in becoming Major Partners in this
journey of achieving self-reliance for supporting our Military Aviation assets during
overhaul / repair. A panel discussion is also planned to address concerns of Industry by
the Stakeholders in Indigenization. Program details are enclosed as Annexure-1.
4. The Seminar would consist of lectures by CEMILAC, DRDO, DGAQA and IAF. An
Exhibition will also be organized, in which, Services / Industry will showcase the products
to be taken up / being taken up for development / indigenous development. This Seminar
would be an excellent opportunity to interact with Services, R&D institutions, PSUs, Private
industry and CEMILAC, to understand certification procedures and join hands to make
success the “Make in India” initiative of Government of India.
