new skills #1 presented, the video you have watched regarding
the gender inequality is a good example of our
topic.
I know that some of you are aware of the gender
inequality that are present in our society for years.
And as we progress, we encourage to power to
have our own stand and voice as means of
eliminating discrimination and/or any other
problems that the world faced.
However, acknowledging each information also
means that we should have the skills to identify
which information to believe.
Now, what is text relevance?
The match between a reader's goal and
information related to that goal.
How about the importance of ideas in a text?
Determining the importance is a strategy that the
readers use to distinguish between what
information in a text is most important versus
what information is interesting but not necessary
for understanding.
(This practical reading strategy will help you
distinguish between the most and least important
information presented.)
What is sound reasoning?
It follows logic and can be easily understood by
readers or an audience.
(A reasoning is good if and only if it is valid, and if all
of its premises are actually true. Loosely speaking, if
the author’s process of reasoning is a good one, if
the premises actually do provide this sort of
justification for the reasoning, then that particular
reasoning is sound.)
How effective the presentation is?
A good presentation of ideas should be concise and
should focus on the topic. Also, should have the
potential to convey the required information.
E. DEEPENING: We have learned how to determine the relevance
Discussing new and truthfulness of ideas, as well as how to judge
