DAY WISE INTERNSHIP REPORT

(FROM 21.02.2023 TO 06.03.2023)

DAY-1 (21.02.2023):

I went to the same office as my previous internship for this

semester also. I was happy to see them all after 6 months. I filled two vakalats
and stuck stamps over them. I also took Xerox copies of a typed set. Then I was
going through the upcoming cases list from a law calendar and asked questions
to the junior advocate in places where I had doubts.
DAY-2 (22.02.2023):

On the second day of my internship, I was told to get the

high court pass by Senior Advocate. I went to the counter and inquired about
the procedure. Since I had lost my old High Court pass, I was asked to submit a
letter typed in the letter pad of the advocate along with his sign with the subject
being that I lost my previous High Court pass and that I will be interning in his
office. I submitted the letter with my Senior Advocate’s sign and I was issued
with a 1 month High Court pass.

DAY-3 (23.02.2023):

On the third day of my internship, I went to small causes court and

checked for copy application numbered as 513/23, 514/23, 515/23 and also for
1198/23. No copy had come for any of the application. Then I got 5rs and 2rs
stamp from vendors and went to office.

DAY-4 (24.02.2023):
On the fourth day, I went to the High Court to check for
copy application and then I went to EA section and asked for CMA (Civil
Miscellaneous Appeal) number and checked it in register 69/23 but was it was
not there. I went to MHAA (Madras High Court Advocates Association) which
was situated near the old library in the high court premises. There I bought
welfare set.

DAY-5 (25.02.2023):
On The fifth day of my internship, I wrote addresses on the
envelope and posted to RPAD (Registered Post Acknowledgement Due). Then I
also posted a courier via professional courier. I went to the Chief Justice’s Court
and observed the proceedings there. Presently, Hon’ble Justice T. Raja is the
acting Chief Justice of the Madras High Court.

DAY-6 (27.02.2023):

On The sixth day of my internship, I wrote 24

acknowledgment slips and addresses on the envelope for a DRT case. I also
typed a petition for stay and also vakalat. By doing this I learned the format of
the same and took printouts of them.

DAY-7 (28.02.2023):
On the seventh day of my internship, Junior advocate
taught me about Original Application. And with his guidance I arranged an
Original Application. It required various documents to be executed including :
- Demand Promissory note
- Letter authorising the appellant band to credit the loan amount to 1 st
defendant’s account
- Declaration letter
- Letter agreeing that DPN shall stand as continuing security
- Repo-based lending rare agreement

provisions related to Hindu Succession Act, the Companies, Act, and the
National Companies Law Tribunal. I also typed the written versions of a case.

DAY-9 (01.03.2023):
On the ninth day of internship, I went with junior advocate
to the High Court and we filed a vakalat. Then I checked for SR number and the
vakalat numbers were 7721/2023, 7725/2023, 7719/2023.I went to Small
Causes Court and checked for copy application and left to my office.

DAY-10 (02.03.2023):
On the tenth day of internship, I went to the copy
application counter and checked for delivery in “S2” & “S3” bunch. I learned
that as my advocate’s name is “Somasundaar” the copy application delivery
should be seen in S- bunch. As few copies were ready for delivery, I called the
junior advocate to come and get the delivery as delivery of copy applications
can’t be done to the interns.

DAY-11 (03.03.2023):
On the Eleventh day of my internship, I filled out 3 copies
application forms and got the sign of the senior advocate. Then I rearranged the
old cases bunch after reading them in accordance with their dates. I also sewed
the dacoit for three documents which had to be submitted before the consumer
court.

Applications of my own self. Then I visited the court hall to view the court
proceedings. I went to Court Hall No. 4 and Court Hall No. 3

On the thirteenth day of my internship, I went to the post
office and posted the envelopes with acknowledgment slips. I went to the fifth
additional court of the Family Court where a proceeding about a POCSO case
was heard. I observed the proceedings of the case.

DAY-14 (07.03.2023):
On the fourteenth day of my internship, I went to the fifth
additional court of the Family Court where judgment for a POCSO case was
given. It was a very scintillating moment to view the delivery of a judgment.
Then I went to High Court to observe the proceedings.

DAY-15 (08.03.2023):
On the fifteenth day of my internship, I typed the
written version of consumer cases and while typing them I understood the
causes of the problem and how it was expressed in the case. As I was typing I
learned the format for a document that has to be presented before the judge in a
court hall. The typed version of different cases ranged from 10 pages in some to
20 pages in others. As I read them and then typed them, I gained a lot of
knowledge from them.
