COMPUTER LAB PERFROMANCE SUMMARY
We are making effort to make the Computer Lab into a complete set for knowledge.
We are doing these activities on regular basis,
Conducting Class Practical: Every student has been carefully monitored by his computer
teacher that every student must deliver his learned knowledge into performing knowledge.
We have a organized timetable for every class to attend the lab on their schedule. Lab
schedule attached for your reference. A proper weekly class attendance report had kept
which every Computer teacher has to fill after their class about the activities they performed.
Conducting Multimedia Class: We have a multimedia projector installed in our lab where our
computer teachers regularly help their students in achieving the desired task. After that
students act accordingly with their selves.
Conducting Events: An event “Computer Project Activity” had been conducted in month of
February 2023. Where our students from Class 3 to 10 were enthusiastically involved in this
event. It is a very wonderful event for students to learn the programming and its execution.
We have following facility in our lab,
Hardware: The first component of our computer lab is the hardware. We have 28 computers
along with UPS (for electric back-up) in working condition that hardly meets the needs of
students. The lab has a normal internet connection to facilitate teaching, online research and
communication and every workstation has an internet connection and all the workstations
are connected with a network where we can share the files and data and get print through
network printer.
Software: The software installed in the computers include the most popular operating
systems, such as Windows 10 and Windows 7, and a variety of productivity software as per
requirement, such as Microsoft Office, and programming tools such as C++, HTML, GW Basis,
Python, Scratch, Tinker-cad, etc. The lab had antivirus software to protect the computers and
data from malware and other cyber threats.
Furniture and Layout: The seating arrangement of our lab is in “E Shape” to accommodate
our students and working people. The 18 workstations are attached with the wall and in
centre we have a two-sided table with 10 workstations are kept for use. We have 08 metal
chairs for centre workstations and 20 metal stools for U shape workstations. The layout of the
lab is designed to accommodate 28 students but we are adjusting 30-35 pupil in our lab.
Fixtures: When you enter the lab, you will be greeted by a welcome message. We have a
multipurpose white board which is used for writing and also multimedia. A projector is
hanged with the ceiling and its image is seen on the white board. We have a green-softboard
for display of notices, charts and teaching aids. Th lab is decorated with various colorful pan-
flex related to teaching aids. We have two split ACs to keep the machines cool which we run
when the need arises.
Conclusion: In conclusion, the computer lab of the school has a number of features, including
hardware, software, furniture and layout, and fixtures. While the lab has some limitations,
such as a limited number of computers and seating capacity, it appears to have the necessary
equipment, software and security measure to support a variety of learning and working
needs. Overall, the computer lab is an essential facility of the school that provides access to
the technology and resource for the students, teacher, and employees.
