11-13. the picture depicts an underwater earthquake and tsunami. The main cause of tsunamis or tidal
waves are the earthquake. It can be triggered by volcanic eruption or earthquake underwater that
causes waves to approach land and its height increase as it speed decreases.
14- 16.The pictures shows how a tornado is formed. Tornado usually occurs on a heavy rain when
cool dry air and warm air meets and create a storm cell. The air moves upward through the core of the
storm and causes the warm air to spiral counter clock wise gaining speed and stretching the height of
the storm.
17 – 19. Faults are thin zones of crushed blocks of rocks. The amount of ground displacement in an
earthquake is called the slip. The three types of faults are strike- slip faults, normal faults and reverse
faults.
20- 22 The Pacific Ring of Fire is also called as the Circum Pacific Belt. This place frequently
occurred the volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. This kind of disasters is caused by the amount of
movement of tectonic plates in the area.
23-25 meteor, asteroids, comet are the space flying objects but may appear similar to our naked eyes
buy they have differences. A meteor is a meteoroid (space rocks) that enters Earth’s atmosphere and
burns up. It is a small body of rock or metal that used to travel around in space, but that got sucked
into Earth’s gravity. Unlike meteor, a comet is celestial body moving about the sun. comets consist
mostly of ice, dust, and some rocky bits and has a tail as it moves. This objects are often dirty
snowball. Similarly to comet, an asteroid is of small celestial objects revolving around the sun, but
often with an irregularly shaped and having a great range in size. There are more than 1 million
known asteroids in the solar system. Most of the asteroids we know about are in the asteroid belt, a
kind of junkyard for asteroids between Mars and Jupiter.

41- 22. Faults contributes in the triggering landslides because faults tilt the trees, roads, walls
buildings. In addition to this, the movement of this faults useful minerals and deposits are recovered
because of the earthquakes.
43-44. the movement from the earthquakes contributes to the discovery of the earth’s interior. The
seismic waves tell us that the interior is consisting of concentric shells which is the outer crust, a
mantle, a liquid and solid core.
45- 46. Storms most frequently make landfall on the islands of Eastern Visayas, Bicol region, and
northern Luzon, whereas the southern island and region of Mindanao is largely free of typhoons. This
was because it incorporates parts of the Pacific Ocean, the South China Sea, and the Philippine
Archipelago.
47- 48. Meteor is a streak of light in the sky and also called the shooting star. It is referred as the
shooting star because of the bright tail of light they create as they pass though the sky.
49-50. The difference of meteoroids, meteorites and meteors id their location. Meteoroids are far up
in the sky where in when they are landing on the earth atmosphere was called as meteors and when it
already landed it was called meteorites.
