3.1.1. Project Development & Management Performance
A) Physical Performance
This month, various activities relating to project development and management have been
undertaken as detailed below:
In relation to subcontractors, it was planned to employ and deploy 15 different subcontractors
and microenterprises in ECC projects at a fixed price and executed 20(133%).
In relation to construction project management service:-
It was planned to set cost estimates for 6 different projects and executed 14 (233%);
Regarding projects’ procurement technical and financial evaluation, thirteen documents
have been evaluated;
Concerning preparation of contract documents for internal and external customers, 11
contract document preparations have been undertaken.
Regarding Preparing/updating the project contract documents for internal and external
customers, this month 18 contract documents were prepared.
Regarding Inspection of project payment document, preparation and verification of
certificate, 1payment document of investment, and 3 payment documents of external
clients was done.
4 building, 4 water, 6 transports, 4 central branch and 1 Housing Development projects,
a total of 19 projects were in the analysis up to May 30, by EVM.
Regarding the quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities of construction
projects, 16 projects were analyzed.4 building, 3 water, 4 transport,4 central branch
project and 1 Housing Development
In relation to Building design service: 2 architectural designs were planned and 2 prepared; 2
structural designs were planned and 2 prepared, 2 electrical designs were planned and two
design were executed, 2 sanitary designs were planned and two designs were executed, 3
BOQs were planned and 3 executed;
In relation to Transport infrastructure design service, 2 road geometric designs have been
carried out. Eleven project survey works and 1 working drawing for road design projects have
been prepared.
In relation to Water design service, two sanitary designs planned and executed.

It was planned to make birr 6,460,000 revenue from project management, design, and training
services and birr 4,200,000.00 (65%) was executed.
