combined with over five years research experience in search engine optimization. My recent internship
at Major Infosystems, New York, allowed me to further develop and strengthen my technical skills. I
have good hands on programming languages like C, C++, Java and Assembly. I believe that I could make
a significant and valuable contribution in your firm.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how my education and experience will be helpful to you. I
will be contacting you tomorrow morning on phone to talk about the possibility of arranging an

Dear Mr. Richardson,

I am completing my Master’s degree in Computer Engineering at National University. I found that there
would be a good fit between my interests and skills and your needs, after researching on your web site. I
am interested in a software engineering position upon completion of my degree in May 2007.

After completion of my Bachelor’s degree I joined the National Space Center, where I am one of six
members on a software development team. There we are writing a computer aided aircraft design
program. I am in charge of designing, coding, and testing of a graphical portion of the program for
graphics input and output.

I am having a strong background in computer-aided design, software development, and engineering,


and believe that these skills would benefit the designing and manufacturing aspects of Template
software.

I enclosed my resume with this letter, which further outlines my qualifications. My qualifications make
me well suited to the projects areas in which your division of Solutions is expanding efforts.
