Executive Summary
The internship report is based on the four-month internship program that I had
successfully completed from Upskill tech solution pvt ltd, Mumbai. The duration of
the internship spanned from 10th May,2023 to 31st August, 2023. Being completely
new to the corporate world setting, every hour at the company gave me significant
exposure and experience which is of immense learning.
The purpose of the project report is to focus on online systems that connects students
to relevant and real job opportunities, industry and education providers to live data
about trends in industry demands so that courses can be tailored to meet current and
future needs.
HR professionals are central to recruitment, on-boarding, training, performance
assessment, employee relations, and ensuring adherence to labor laws. Their primary
aim is to cultivate a productive and harmonious workplace that empowers employees
to excel, all while strategically aligning HR practices with the organization's broader
objectives.
Digital hiring represents an ongoing transformation in the way organizations identify
and engage with talent. Its evolution continues to reshape the future of talent

1.1 INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC
The research is based on the campus hiring strategies of the company, UpSkills Tech
Solution Pvt. Ltd. Campus Hiring refers to the recruitment process of where the companies
approach the colleges and the universities to hire interns and full time employees to work for
their companies.
The main reason for them choosing campus hiring as their source of recruitment to hire
interns is the least cost associated with it as compared to the other sources of recruitment
which includes posting job ads on job portals like naukri.com, monster.com, indeed.com or
social media platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram or newspapers which includes hefty
amounts associated for posting the job ads. Recruitment can also be done through third party
and consultancies which helps in filling the vacancies but the cost to be paid to them is huge
for the organization to bare.
The process of campus recruitment began by considering India's districts for college
outreach. Consequently, research was conducted on colleges in these districts, including the
contact information of the placement officers. This research encompassed every aspect of the
process, from initial outreach to the placement officers regarding internship opportunities to
the final hiring of interested students into their respective internship roles.
The research also covers how the company used to organize team and employee engagement
sessions for the selected interns, which proved beneficial in enhancing their productivity and
keeping them engaged in their respective work.

1.2 RELEVANCE OF THE PROJECT:
Campus Hiring is one of the process of External Recruitment in an Organization and hence
the process of end to end recruitment in the process of Campus Hiring Process, also the
employee engagement process was learnt as a part of the internship in HR. As recruitment is
one of the important domains of Human Resource Development, the end to end process of it
from creating awareness regarding the job opportunities to the interview process and to
placing the candidate for that position was helpful for understanding the recruitment and
hiring process

During my enriching 4-month internship, my primary goal was to fully immerse myself in a
profound learning journey. I was wholeheartedly dedicated to delving into the realm of
modern recruitment practices while seamlessly integrating cutting-edge digital tools and
technologies. This comprehensive exploration proved to be a valuable source of practical
insights and skills that I treasure.
A substantial portion of my internship involved hands-on experience with applicant tracking
systems and a variety of digital tools that are absolutely pivotal in today's ever-evolving
recruitment landscape. This invaluable exposure endowed me with the proficiency to
efficiently manage and navigate these systems, thereby contributing significantly to a
smoother and more efficient candidate evaluation process.
One of the standout aspects of this internship was my deep dive into campus hiring, a
complex process with numerous intricacies. I had the privilege of gaining a profound
understanding of this process, learning the art of crafting compelling emails and job
descriptions (JDs) to allure top-tier talent. Additionally, I honed my interpersonal skills and
acquired the ability to effectively communicate with college professors, recognizing the
crucial role they play in campus recruitment endeavors.
Beyond the specialized realm of recruitment, this internship served as a catalyst for
expanding my skill set in various other domains. I harnessed my proficiency in utilizing
Excel, a powerful tool for data analysis and reporting. Furthermore, I cultivated the skill of
orchestrating seminars for students, which underscored my organizational and planning
capabilities. The mastery of coordination was another facet of my growth, proving invaluable
in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of operations.
In summation, this 4-month internship was truly trans-formative. It provided me with hands-
on exposure to the dynamic world of modern recruitment practices and the utilization of
advanced digital tools. Moreover, it broadened my horizons by enhancing my
communication, organizational, and data analysis skills. This internship has been pivotal in
both my personal and professional development, furnishing me with a diverse skill set that
undoubtedly augments my preparedness for future endeavors.

1.6 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
Limited Time: The study had a short time frame because it was only conducted for three
months, which may not capture all the important aspects.
Control: When HR functions are outsourced, organizations lose control over who is doing
what and the details surrounding it. Challenges arise when communication breaks down and
the left isn't sure what the right is doing. Things can get confusing, leaving room for mistakes
and miscommunication.
Dependent: The more you delegate functions to outside vendors, the more your HR team is
dependent on them. It becomes a risk if the vendors quality is subpar or goes out of business.
If the work must be brought back in house, a lot can fall through the cracks.
Integration: Vendors don't always collaborate with each other to provide integrated
solutions. They mostly work independently and their recommendations may, in fact, conflict
with other vendors. If you decide to outsource, research vendors that integrate and streamline
your processes through strong relationships with other industry related businesses
Knowledge: Industry professionals are now realizing that outsourcing eventually leads to a
knowledge deficit. HR ends up knowing less and less about their own operations and people
because they are not directly involved.

process. Virtual recruiting and hiring refer to processes that occur remotely, without face-to-
face interactions between the company recruiters and the candidates who have applied for
jobs or internships. This is typically facilitated by technologies such as telephonic interviews
through calls and platforms like Google Meet, MS Teams, and Zoom Calls. One of the most
significant advantages of virtual campus recruiting is the ability to continue recruiting and
hiring efforts even in challenging situations, such as:

3 The main emphasis was given on how to pitch the placement officers as they were the point
of contact between the college students and the company Upskill tech solutions.
4 If the placement officer used to find the internship offer as a good opportunity for their
college students then only they used to forward the internship registration link to the students.
5 The interested candidates were interviewed through a Online interview which included both
1st and 2nd round of interviews.
6 Based on the combined performance of the candidates they were selected and then on
boarded to the company.
7 The candidates were also briefed about the roles and responsibilities that they will be
carrying out throughout the internship period.

The recommendations for the campus hiring process that takes at UpSkills Tech solution Pvt
Ltd are as follows:
1 As the campus hiring process at Upskills tech solution is virtual, it lacks a personal touch
with the college placement officers. Therefore, the company should consider participating in
some college job fairs in its vicinity. This approach would not only help in acquiring talent
but also in building the company's brand image.
2 Campus hiring for interns should ideally take place during the months of April, May, and
June when colleges officially assign internship durations for their students. Conducting
campus hiring during other months of the year may result in numerous rejections from
placement officers, as their students could be preoccupied with their academic studies and
exams.
