INSTRUCTIONS
Work in continuous rounds. It is good to use a stitch marker to
mark the beginning of each round for your better orientation.
The number in the last column is the total of stitches you should
have at the end of the round. Do not join the first and the last
stitch in the round with a slip stitch if not stated otherwise.
If you see brackets, crochet everything in them as many times as
written behind. If there is a plus symbol “+” then we crochet
everything in one loop together. Each step is separated by a
comma. I recommend using invisible decrease.
Examples:
3SC – means 1SC in next 3 stitches
2INC – means increase in each of next 2 stitches
6 times – means how many times you repeat directions in brackets
NOTE
The size of the toy may vary depending on the size of the hook
and yarn you use.
ABBREVIATIONS
RND = round
CH = chain
ST/STS = stich, stitches
SS = slip stitch
SC = single crochet
HDC = half double crochet
DC = double crochet
TR = triple crochet
INC = increase = 2 SC in one ST
DEC = decrease = 2 SC together
FLO = front loop only
BLO = back loop only
MR = magic ring
CC = change color at the end of the round
FO = finish off
LY = leave loose yarn for stitching
() = repeat as written behind
STITCHING TOGETHER
Stuff all parts of the toy as you go. At first, we pin all parts
on its place according to the picture or as you like it. Then
sew all parts together. Do not forget to remove all pins once
your toy is finished.
It is always better to begin with the face and do the limbs
later.
Circular joints (muzzle, horns, trunk etc.)
Stitch the outer loops of the smaller parts on the figure body.
Use the loose yarn end and the back stitch. You will get a neater
joint.
Flat joints (ears, limbs etc.)
Stitch up through both end loops to desired row of the head or
body. Use the loose yarn end and the hemming stitch.
Finishing the joints
To end the stitching pull a little bit of fiber filling through
a crochet loop and tie a knot stitch. Insert the needle back to
the same loop and push it all the way through the figure. Pull
gently to hide the knot inside and cut the end of the yarn.
Let´s start and enjoy your crocheting. 😊
HEAD
