OPENING CEREMONY
A pleasant afternoon to everyone especially to our school principal Sir Fernan S. Obregon
and to our District Supervisor Dr. Narciso L. Talledo as well as my fellow active teachers, troop
leaders, scout woodbadge holders, guests, proud parents and to our candidates for today’s
investiture ceremony- twinklers, star scouts, junior girl scouts, kid scouts, kab scouts and junior
boy scouts.
It was in 1906 when Lord Stephenson Smith Baden Powell initiated the scouting movement
to foster and develop independence, discipline and love of nature to young boy.
Three years later, at the memorable crystal palace rally of the Boy scouts in England , a
group of uniformed , self-styled Girl scouts appealed to Lord Baden Powell to form a similar
movement for girls. Since then, scouting made a great impact to young boys and girls alike.
This very day, we are celebrating a memorable moment in a boy and a girl’s life: to be
welcomed into the boy scout and girl scout organization.
Today, we are gathered here to witness “the boy scouts’ and girl scouts’ of the
Philippines” Investiture Ceremony of Don Emilio Miraflores Sr. Memorial Elementary School.
Let us all stand as we begin the program with the lighting of candle WHICH
REPRESENTS Scouting Spirit by Scouter Myra E. Legarda, then let us all feel the presence
of our Almighty God as we offer Him a song of praise, followed by the entrance of colors led
by our selected junior scouts and it will be followed by the entrance of the candidates for girl
scouts and boyscouts investiture.

IV. LIGHTING OF THE SYMBOLIC CANDLES
Scouts all over the world live by a code – the scout oath. This scout oath describes the
three duties that every scout embraces the moment he/she becomes a scout. We will now
light the three candles that represent these three duties. To do the honor, may I request Girl
Scout Troop Leader Grace V. Rama.
V. REDEDICATION TO SCOUT OATH & LAW & LIGHTING OF CANDLES
We will now light the 12 candles which symbolizes the 12 point of Scout law. To do the
