To strengthen the sportsmanship and camaraderie amongst peers, a sports tournament for the
Senior High School and Junior High School divisions was held at _______ last ____. The
school spirit at ______ was boosted as various classes from ______ formed teams to compete.
Different physical activities include badminton, volleyball, and basketball. Cheers from coaches,
captains, and watchers were heard at the venue. After a long rally, Team 3:Orange, headed by
Rachel Gomez, won the Badminton (Single Girls - JHS) division while Team 3: Orange, headed
by Joy Mailig, won the Single Girls - SHS division. For mixed doubles, Team 3: Orange (Aljon
Capistrano & Rachel Gomez) was hailed as winners with Team 1: Blue as 1sr Runner Up,
Team 2: Red as 2nd Runner Up, and Team 4: Yellow as 3rd Runner Up. Under the Boys - SHS
Division, Team 1: Blue headed by Alex Balongo was the champion, and still Team 1: Blue,
winning the Single Boys - JHS division under Mark Andrey Tuazon.
On the other hand, Team 4: Yellow (Rolamb Rebese, Armando Abad, Elijah Cruz, Alijah
Abanto, Lhednar Balgos, Valentin Samonte, Jillian Zapanta, Reighmann Aquino) won the Boys’
Volleyball, and Team 2: Red (Miel Duyog, Gillian Tagle, Chrishelyn, Protacio, Chloe Mae G.
Ventero, Shiean Kelly E. Sevilla, Gigi Gabriela Otric, and Criscel Valenzoua) bagged the title for
Volleyball Girls division. For Basketball, Team 2: Red claimed the title as champions with Airon
Guban as the MVP. Together with Guban is Lil Aikee Sembrano, Joshua Madrid, Daniel
Polidario Jr., Raszoul Macalinga, Johann Rada, Alejandro Bautista, and Elijah Jasper Orticio.
Aside from physical games, players’ strategy and mental toughness were also put to the test.
And from the good came out the best. For chess, Reighmann Aquino’s Team 4: Yellow were
champions followed by Team 1: Blue (Sean Magsombol): 1st Runner Up; Team 2: Red (Prinze
Sangcarola): 2nd Runner Up; and Team 3:Orange (Bernice Gadia) as 3rd Runner Up. In the
game of Scrabble, Team 4: Yellow (Rolamb Rebese) was the champion with Team 2: Red (Miel
Duyag) as 1st Runner Up; Team 3: Orange (Rogelio Balanguo III) as 2nd Runner Up; and Team
1: Blue (Ryeland Shi Sabalza) as 3rd Runner Up. Of course, a game of Amazing Race was also
present during the event. Team 3: Orange was the Amazing Race Champions; Team 2 Red: 1st
Runner Up; Team 1: Blue: 2nd Runner Up; and Team 4: Yellow: 3rd Runner Up.
Online games were also included in the gameplay. The champion for the Mobile Legends game
was Team B: Orange followed by Team 1: Blue as 1st Runner Up and at a tie, Team 2: Red,
and Team 4: Yellow at 2nd Runner Up.
The overall winners for the championship are as follows: Champions: Team Orange; 1st Runner
Up: Team Blue; 2nd Runner: Team Red, and 3rd Runner Up Team Yellow.
The event wouldn’t be complete without the coronation and recognition of Mr. & Ms. APEC
Winners. Carlisle Serna garnered the title of Ms. APEC 2023 with KC De Villa as Ms. Apec 1st
Runner Up and Karla Albino as Ms. Apec 2nd Runner Up. Sunjie Casido garnered the title of
Mr. APEC 2023 with Isaiah Binar as Mr. APEC1st Runner Up, Alijah Abanto as Mr. APEC 2nd
Runner up, and Raffy Aleman as Mr. APEC and Runner Up.
Special awards were also given to different people under different categories; People’s Choice
Award, Best in Photogenic, Best in Talent, Best in Sportswear, and Best in Formal Wear. More
than winning Ms. APEC 2023, Carlisle Serna (Team Orange) also bagged all the awards for all
the mentioned categories, together with Sunjie Casido (Team Orange) for Best in Formal Wear
and People’s Choice Award; Alijah Abanto (Team Yellow) for Best in Photogenic and Best in
Sports Wear; and Isaiah Binar (Team Blue) as Best in Talent.
