Peramiho

The document provides a daily report from a site visit to a mining site in Mhepai/Peramiho, Tanzania. The aim was to observe the coal seam trends, stratigraphy, and lithologies of the area to help predict potential economic coal deposits. The geology of the area consists of clastic and coal sediments interrupted by numerous small local faults. Observations at the Yadang mine pits showed the coal seams displaced by nearly 30 meters between pits only 200 meters apart, likely due to faulting in the area. In conclusion, while coal seams of over 2 meters were previously detected, the quantity is unknown due to discontinuities and displacements caused by small faults requiring more exploratory drilling.

SHORT DAILY REPORT

Date 5 March 2024

Activity: Visiting one Mining site at Mhepai/Peramiho
AIM,
The aim of visiting was to clearly observing and getting the general ideas of the coal seam
trending, general stratigraphy and lithologies of the area in relation to coalification (coal
formation). That will guide us on prediction and increase the confidence level of possible
presence of economic coal deposit in the given coal field.
GEOLOGY
Mhepai/Peramiho its on Lumecha coal field o fruhuhu basin which characteristically composed
of clastic and coal sediments (red bed, sandstone, shale) and paragnes. The area geologically
faced numerous small local faults that result to discontinuities and deeper displacements of
thecoal seams in some areas.

lithology) WITH Yadang(Chinese mine), muhefash, Agness MINE, Alfred majaliwa and others
PLs and PMLs and mine in it

an (OTHER LOCAL MINE marked as L) in the Mhepae/Peramiho/lumecha coal field

OBSERVATION

Since the area highly affected by fault the coal seam at YADANG mine Pit two displaced to
depth of nearly 30M compared to the first pit where the seams at 15M depth while they
areonly separated 200M from each other

CONCLUSION
As reported by URANEX TANZANIA LIMITED in 2012 coal seams of up to 2.2M thickness
detected at LUMECHA COAL FIELD but unknown Quantity due to discontinuity and
displacement of seams caused by the numerous small faults hence needs drilling many
exploratory bore holes at the place to estimate quantity.
