Work Name: M & R to BG Main... Maintenance of B.G. Main I, II, III & Kalyan Feeder for two
years.

Sub Estimate:M & R to BG Main... Maintenance of B.G. Main I, II, III & Kalyan Feeder for two
years.
1 Providing service for day-to-day maintenance & also attending breakdown of 1772
mm dia BG Main No.I, II and 1600 mm dia BG Main III from Pale to Katai and 1200 mm dia
Kalyan Feeder from Newali to Tata Point including periodical cleaning of Air valves, sluice
valves, butterfly valves, expansion joints, cleaning & greasing of roller provided at ring
girder portion, tracing & attending of unauthrorised water supply connection if any,
facilitating arrangement of police force if required.(Rates excluding GST)
1.1 For day-to-day maintenance
1.2 For breakdowns work
Specification:
1.1 Specifications as per standard specification, wording of item and As directed by Engineer-in-
charge.
1.2 Mode of Measurement and Payment : The quantity shall be measured in per month and paid at
the rate as per the contract agreement.

1.1 Specification
The item shall be executed as per detailed item wording, manufacture’s specifications
and standard engineering practice & as per instructions of Engineer-in-charge. Working days: All
working days including all Sundays. Working hours: 9.00 to 17.00 hrs or as per requirement on site
as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. Strength of labour to be employed for Item No. 1 (a):

1. Labourers (Unskilled helper):- 6 Nos. (Minimum).

2. Skilled Supervisor / fitters:- 3 Nos.(Minimum).
3. Welder Gas cutter 1 No..(Minimum).
Uniform: The labours & other staff employed at the work shall have to wear uniform & shoes. (The
cost of uniform, shoes & other welfares to be provided to the staff is included in the item itself) The
work shall be carried out generally as per working of the item and as per the directions of
Engineer-in charge.

1.2 Mode of Measurement and Payment :

For Item No. 1 (a) : The contract rate shall be on Monthly basis for complete services motioned

in the Schedule –B of the tender with employing necessary minimum 6 Nos. of unskilled labours &
3 Nos. of skilled supervisors / fitters with 1 no. of welder/ cutter with uniform per day under
this contract. If it is noticed that on a particular day the maintenance is not done up to the standard
decided buy MIDC and to the quantum decided by MIDC, then proportionate
reduction in payment will be made from the monthly quoted rates. The above assessed reduction
will be binding on the contractor. Also a duty sheet as well as
separate register shall be maintained at site for day-to-day work done from contractor’s end
which shall be got checked from Engineer-in-charge periodically.

1.2 Specification
1.2 For breakdowns -
The work shall be carried out generally as per working of the item and as per the directions
of Engineer-in-charge. Strength of labour to be employed for Item No. 1 (b) for per No. of break
down for 3 shifts: The duty starts from the instructions by Engineer-in-charge & 3 shifts of 8 hours
will be counted from that instruction moment.

1. Labourers (Unskilled helper) :-10 Nos. (Minimum)

2. Skilled fitters:- 2 Nos.(Minimum)
3. Welder-Gas cutter 2 Nos.(Minimum)
4. Supervisor 1 No.(Minimum)

(The cost of uniform, shoes & other welfares to be provided to the staff is included in the item itself)

1.2 Mode of Measurement & Payment:-

For Item No. 1 (b) : The contract rate shall be per break down.

2 Dewatering on BHP basis by using water pump including diversion of stream,

providing cofferdams, earthern bunds etc. as may be necessary for foundation and other
parts of the the works and pumping out water during and after excavation as may be
required by using 5.0 to 9.0 BHP pump etc. complete. (prior approval of Superintending
Engineer will be necessary)
Specification:
2.1- Item includes Hire charges for Dewatering Set 5 .0 to 9.0 BHP Pump including
operator/driver, fuel and other
incidental charges involved in service of machinery, loading, unloading, transportation, all taxes
duties octroi etc. complete.

2.2 Mode of Measurement & payment:- Payment shall be per Hours basis

3 Dewatering on BHP basis by using water pump including diversion of stream,

parts of the the works and pumping out water during and after excavation as may be
required by using 10.0 to 19.0 BHP pump etc. complete. (prior approval of Superintending

3.1 Specification
10 TO 19 BPH pump -
Item includes Hire charges for Dewatering Set 10. to 19.0 BPH including operator/driver, fuel and
other
incidental charges involved in service of machinery, loading, unloading, transportation, all taxes
duties octroi etc. complete.
3.2 Mode of Measurement & payment:- Payment shall be per HOURS basis
4 Providing, cutting, bending, hooking, tying and laying in position TMT FE 500 steel
bars for reinforcement for all RCC works as per detailed drawings etc. complete.
Specification:
4.1 Standard Specifications as per specification book published by Govt.of Maharashtra in 1979
and 1981 Edition Specification no BR-35 page no 134. As per Indian standard 1786/1985 with
latest amendments. Various diameters of TMT Fe-500 bars brought on site for the work shall be
got tested category wise and lot wise as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
4.2 Mode of Measurement and Payment : The quantity shall be measured in Metric Tonne and
paid at the rate as per the contract agreement.
5 Providing and laying in situ /Ready Mix cement concrete M-20 of trap / granite
/quartzite/ gneiss metal for R.C.C. work in foundations like raft, strip foundations,
grillage and footings of R.C.C. columns and steel stanchions etc. including bailing
out water, Steel centering formwork, laying/pumping cover blocks, compaction and
curing roughening the surface if special finish is to be provided (Excluding reinforcement
and structural steel) etc. complete, with fully automatic micro processor based PLC with
SCADA enabled reversible Drum Type mixer/ concrete Batch mix plant (Pan mixer) etc.
complete. With fine aggregate (Crushed sand VSI Grade)
Specification:
5.1 Standard Specifications as per specification book published by Govt. of Maharashtra in 1979
and 1981 Edition Specification no BD.F.3, B-7 page no 298, 38.
Additional specifications:-
1. The appropriate mix design shall be got prepared from the approved government laboratory well
in advance and got approved from Engineer in charge before starting the work.
2. Cement from the same stock sent for design shall be used for concreting work.
3. The rate of consumption of cement in mix design are considered for the work as per general
practice in actual design, if the cement consumption is less than that shown in item, the rate will be
reduced accordingly .If the rate as per mix design for cement consumption is more than that as per
item ,the extra cement will have to be brought by the contractor at his own cost.
4. Before concreting work, cement form each consignment shall be got tested .if the strength of
fresh cement available in stock and concreting work shall be done accordingly to modified mix
design.
5. The minimum strength of reinforced cement concrete to ensure durability shall as per Indian
standard as per IS 456-2000 with latest amendment.

6. For each consignment of cement a sample should be got tested as per norms and frequency of
Vigilance and Quality Control circle, laboratory. it will be entire responsibility of contractor for
testing of cement and no extra payment will be made against these testing charges.

5.2 Mode of Measurements and Payment: The item shall be measured as finished work in Cubic
Meters. The contract rate shall be per CuM. and shall be paid after satisfactory completion of work
as per the specifications.

6 Providing and laying Cast in situ/Ready Mix cement concrete in M15 of

trap/ granite/quartzite/gneiss metal for foundation and bedding / steps including steel
centering, formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is
to be provided, finishing uneven and honeycombed surface and curing etc. complete.
The Cement Mortar 1:3 plaster is considered for rendering uneven and honeycombed
surface, only. Newly laid concrete shall be covered by gunny bag, plastic, tarpaulin etc.
(Wooden centering will not be allowed.),with fully automatic micro processor based
PLC with SCADA enabled reversible Drum Type mixer/concrete Batch mix plant
(Pan mixer) etc. complete. With fine aggregate (Crushed sand VSI Grade)

7.2 Mode of Measurement and Payment : The quantity shall be measured in Kilogram basis and
paid at the rate as per the contract agreement.

8 Oxygen Gas (Refill)

Specification:
8.1 Specification
Oxgen Cylinder (Refill)-
Item includes cost of all materials labours, use of tools and equipment required for work. Item also
includes machinery with operator/driver, fuel and other incidental charges involved in service of
machinery. The safety precautions shall be taken during transportation and execution of work. The
placing of oxygen cylinder shall be done in proper manner. It is obligatory at contractors end to
take extra precaution for handling of the oxygen cylinder. if any mishaps happens due to oxygen
cylinder, contractor will be fully responsible for the same.
8.2-Mode of Measurement & payment:- Payment shall be per Cylinder basis

9 HIRE CHARGES OF MACHINERIES

9.1 Jeep hire Charges with driver (Upto 300 Km)& fuel & day of 24 hours.

9.2 Mode of Measurement and Payment : The quantity shall be measured in per day basis and
paid at the rate as per the contract agreement.

1. The item includes providing the Jeep/Pick up van with toeing facility of DG Set/ Welding Set in
good condition alongwith driver and fuel by the bidder.
2. All the documents for Jeep/Pick up van ie. PUC, Insurance, RC Book, Driver's License,
transportation permit etc should be kept ready alongwith Jeep. The work shall be carried out as per
the instructions of Engineer-in-charge. Seperate log book of vehicle daily by starting location, time
arrival / departure, total approx. 295 to 300 Kms running per day with meter reading shall be
maintained by the concerned
Engineer in charge.
Mode of measurement :- The measurement shall be for a complete job executed as
mentioned above per day of 24 hours for 295-300 KMs.

10 hiring of Excavator(JCB JS 80)

Hire charges for Excavator / Loader/ JCB including its operator, loading,
unloading, transportation,all taxes labour material, fuel, any other required to carry out the work
etc. complete. The agency shall have to keep the Excavator / Loader/ JCB through out the working
period. if fails to do so, the agency shall have to arrange the Excavator / Loader/ JCB immediately
to avoid the delay of the work.

11 Hire charges crane 15 MT capacity

Specification:

Crane 15 MT Capacity-
Rent of Crane 15 MT Capacity including its operator, loading, unloading, transportation, all taxes
labour material, fuel, any other required to carry out the work etc. complete. The agency shall have
to keep the Hydra through out the working period. if fails to do so, the agency shall have to arrange
the Hydra immediately to avoid the delay of the work.
11.2 Mode of Measurement and payment:- Payment shall be per Hr. basis.

12 Hire Charges for Diesel welding plant 30Hp

Specification:

Diesel welding plant 30 HP -
Hire charges for Diesel welding plant 30 HP including its operator, loading, unloading,
transportation,all taxes labour material, fuel, any other required to carry out the work etc. complete.
The agency shall have to keep the Diesel Welding Machine through out the working period. if fails
to do so, the agency shall have to arrange the Diesel welding plant 30 HP immediately to avoid the
delay of the work.

13 Hire charges for Tipper 6 Cu.M

Specification:
12.1Specification
Dumper / Tipper capacity 6 Cum -Item also includes hire charges for Dumper/Tipper of capacity
6m3 including operator/driver, fuel, maintenance charges etc. completed. The agency shall have to
keep the Dumper/Tipper of capacity 6 m3 in operation through out the work.
Mode of Measurement payment:- Payment shall be per Day of 8Hr. basis.

its operator, loading, unloading, transportation, all taxes labour material, fuel, any other required to
carry out the work etc. complete. The agency shall have to keep the Poclain through out the
working period. if fails to do so, the agency shall have to arrange the Hydraulic
Excavator immediately to avoid the delay of the work.
16.2 Mode of Measurement and payment:- Payment shall be per Hr. basis

17 Hiring Towing van

Specification:
17.1 Towing Van -
Hire charges for Towing van including its operator, loading, unloading, transportation,all taxes
labour material, fuel, any other required to carry out the work etc. complete. The agency shall have
to keep the Towing van through out the working period. if fails to do so, the agency shall have to
arrange the Towing van immediately to avoid the delay of the work.
17.2 Mode of Measurment and Payment- The measurement shall be for a complete job
executed as mentioned
above per day of 8 hours for 100 KMs.

18 Providing LPG gas cylinder (Excluding GST)

Specification:
18.1 LPG Gas cylinder -
Item includes cost of all materials labours, use of tools and equipment required for work. Item

also includes hire charges of LPG gas cylinder with operator/ driver, fuel and other incidental
charges involved in service of machinery. The safety precautions shall be taken during
transportation and execution of work. The placing of LPG gas cylinder shall be done in proper
manner. It is obligatory at contractors end to take extra precaution for handling of the gas cylinder.
if any mishaps happens due to gas cylinder, contractor will be fully responsible for the same.

18.2 Mode of Measurement & payment:- Payment shall be per Number basis.

19 Providing and supplying welding rods ( Advani make)

Specification:
19.1 Welding rods -
Item includes Supplying Welding Rod Packets ADVANI make or equivalent. including
loading, unloading, transportation, all taxes, duties, octroi etc. complete. The make of welding rods
to be used shall be got approved from Engineer In Charge.

19.2 Mode of Measurement and payment:- Payment shall be on per number of packets of welding
rods.

20 Miscellaneous material required i.e Torch, arrangement, safety equipment's , chain

pulley, triod, gas cutter, etc.
Specification:
