INTRODUCTION

Unemployment rate continuously rises everyday and it is becoming alarming for


everyone who aims to find a job. According to the PSA or Philippines Statistics Authority
Record For 2024 5.08 percent or more than 56.46% Filipinos are unemployed. The
unemployment rate increase do to pandemic since some companies had to lose
workers to keep up their loss. Unemployment posseses problem globally, this is not only
proverty rise but also affects our country's economy. This collage students uneasy.
Since collage students are molded to work after, due to unemployment rate they are
affected may it be their career choice or future doubts.

Due to the frightening situation, the research believed it is the best to know the roots of
this problem. Knowing its solution or how to prevent it can be a lot of lives of collage
students in our country. This study aims to provide information on how to minimize the
cases of unemployed Filipino citizens. Furthermore, this study is undertaken by the
researcher to present more solution on this problem.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS

This study focuses only on the unemployment rate impact on collage students. It aims
to grab the demographic profile of students. This mainly targets collage students only.
The scole of this study is limited to Manila City. Cases to be studied aim to be inside the
school of collage students.
Significance of The Study

To the Students- unemployment on Collage Students. College Students


unemployment is a major impediment to economic progress in developing countries,
and the Philippines Department of Labor and employment has made it a top policy
goal(DOLE). Many graduated students have no jobs since they're experiencing poverty
too

To the Parents- On the other hand, unstable work and unemployment is


psychologically stressful for parents, which in turn inhibits parents' emotional warmth
and increases parents' erratic or disengaged behaviors. Ineffective parenting can lead
to poorer adjustment in the children.

To the Society- society include a strain on public finances, reduced consumer


spending, increased dependence on social welfare programs, reduced social cohesion,
and a potential increase in social unrest and crime.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
Unemployment - is circumstance in which a person who is actively looking for a job
unable to find work. Unemployment is seen as a significant indicator of the economy's
health.

Job- Job creations refers to the process providing new jobs, especially for people sho
were previously unemployed or inactive.

Income- The amount of money received by a person, group, or company during a


certain period.

Research- the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources to
establish facts and reach new conclusion

Proverty- Proverty is defined as a lack of sufficient finds to cover basic requirements


such as food, clothing, and shelter. Proverty, on the other hand, is much more than lack
of funds

DOLE- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is the natural government
agency mandated to formulate policies, implement programs, and seeve as the policy-
coordinating arm of the Executive Branch in the field of Labor and Employment.
