SIERRA CAMERA SYSTEM GMC︱51

In Sierra, your confidence is enhanced by up to 15 available camera views1—including 12
the industry-first available transparent trailer view, which helps you virtually see through
the compatible conventional trailer. And for 2021, the following are just a few of the
enhancements designed to further increase your trailering awareness:
JACK-KNIFE ALERT This available feature tracks the position of the compatible
conventional trailer in relation to the truck, and if the front of the trailer approaches
3 8 13
the rear of the truck, an alert is displayed that you’re in a potential jack-knife situation.
Based on available equipment and user settings, the visual alert may be accompanied
by audible or Safety Alert Seat notifications.
TRAILER LENGTH INDICATOR When enabled and driving forward with the turn signal
activated, the available Trailer Length Indicator displays as a red overlay twice the
length of the compatible conventional trailer to help show when other vehicles are 4 9 14
present and may interfere with a lane-change maneuver.
The following views and features are not compatible with fifth-wheel or gooseneck trailers: transparent trailer
view and rear side view with trailer biasing, Rear Trailer Guidelines with Trailer Angle Indicator, Trailer Length
Indicator and Jack-Knife Alert. See the following page for more camera-view and feature compatibility details.
