bag and it’s very annoying on her part because she happens to have a red stain on her skirt. She needs your help. Can
you help Raziah track her monthly period so that the next time she will have it, she is ready and informed.

Improvised Menstrual Cycle Calendar Bracelet
Materials:
Used colored paper (red, blue, green, light green or any color of your choice)
Pair of scissors or cutter
Glue stick
Wooden toothpick or broom stick
Elastic beading cord, rubber band or string
Procedure:
1. Prepare all the materials needed for the activity.
2. Cut the colored paper into strips of the same size using a
scissors or cutter. Sizes of the paper beads may vary depending on
the wrist. (Ooops! Take note! Be careful in using a cutter or scissor.
Keep it immediately after used.)
3. Roll and glue. Make 7 red beads, 4 light green beads, five
green and 12 blue beads. Note that each color represents the typical
28-day Menstrual cycle. Please refer on the illustration above.
4. String your beads onto the bracelet cord according to the
arrangement shown above.
1-7 red beads - represent menstruation (least fertile) 8-9 light green
beads - represent possibility to get pregnant
10-14 green beads - represent ovulation, high chance of getting
pregnant
15-16 light green beads - represent possibility to get pregnant
17-28 blue beads - represent the thickening of the uterine lining, no
possibility
5. ENJOY YOUR IMPROVISED MENSTRUAL CYCLE
CALENDAR BRACELET! Bracelets can be worn as a symbol
of solidarity or sisterhood with women and girls of getting
pregnant.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR CALENDAR BRACELET
1. On a 4 inches by 4 inches cardboard, with a borderline, write a short information on how
the calendar bracelet is use. Write your name as a creator in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS
including your grade level and section.
2. On the other side of the cardboard, attach the bracelet without using paste, probably a
string, to make it look like a product you are selling.
3. Place the bracelet mounted on the cardboard inside a transparent plastic bag of the
same size as the cardboard.
4. Your calendar bracelet should look like a product as if you are selling it.
Remember! Good packaging makes a difference! It would make more saleable!
