TEMPTATION
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with
confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us
in our time of need.
5. Courage is needed, with God's help, to stand strong in temptation.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because
when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that
God has promised to those who love him.
Hebrews 12: 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great
cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the
sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the
race marked out for us.
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for
you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will
boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's
power may rest on me.
Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his
mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take
your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against
flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces
of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of
God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand
your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Proverbs 4:14-15 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or
walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from
it and go on your way.
