Fall Leaves Shape Tree

This fall preschool activity will focus


on identifying and matching shapes.
You can use the provided printable
to complete the activity or you can
recreate it using butcher paper and
construction paper.

FOCUS SKILLS
Geometry

• Identify common 2-dimensional shapes


such as squares, rectangles, triangles, heart,
star, circle, semi-circle, oval, diamond

Patterns

• Sort objects based on two characteristics;


size, color, shape, texture, or weight

REQUIRED MATERIALS

Fall Shape Tree Template Scissors

Instructions

STEP #1 Print and cut out the Fall Leaf Shape


Glue Tree Template.

STEP #2 Invite your preschooler to match and


glue the leaves to the tree based on
the shape.

TEACHER TIP
You can add a sensory element by placing the leaves in a sensory bin for your preschoolers to
take them out of.
