PREFACE

This portfolio was created for fulfillment of the requirements

for the Work Immersion course and this compilation shows the

different activities in this subject. Those different activities were

made for us to test our knowledge about electronics and to gain

new learnings as well.

At the end of this portfolio, a reflection or insight is done that

reflect my learning in every task that were given to us. It also,

shows how and what are the ways we did to finish these activities.

May this portfolio serve as a future reference that can be use in

teaching learners about this course.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

First and foremost, praises and thanks to our all-powerful

God. Almighty, who blessed us and provided us with knowledge

throughout our immersion. It was only because of God that we

were able to complete those tasks during our immersion. Honor

and glory belong to God alone.

I would like to express my deep and sincere gratitude to our

Work Immersion’s teacher Mr. Bonifacio Pluma for giving time

and effort to let me have a wonderful and informative experience

in this subject. And I extend my gratitude to the owner of the

shop, Mr. Richard Galag for guiding me, and for teaching me the

steps to take to fixed appliances. The completion of this

immersion would not have been possible without his help and

involvement in every step of the process.

Finally, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to my

family who constantly encouraged and supported me throughout

the immersion; this accomplishment would not have been

possible without them.

III. PRE-IMMERSION

INTRODUCTION

Pursuant to DepEd order no. 30 series of 2017 which specify that senior high

school students should undergo work immersion, the Grade 12 students at San Roque

National High School were directed to have their immersion at the different assigned

institution in Bamban, Tarlac. The Immersion will last for 10 days not including the

orientation and reassigning the grade 12 students to the particular institution that they

will work with. This subject provides learners with opportunities (1) to gain ideas with the

workplace that is relevant to their course; (2) enrich their skills and knowledge about

electronics; and (3) develop their good work habits, attitudes, and respect for work.

Learners are immersed in actual work environments such as workshops in a

particular institution in which their prior training is relevant to their course or subject of

matter. Work immersion is a key feature of the SHS Curriculum. It can be conducted

indifferent ways depending on the purposes and needs of learners.

In my part I was assigned at T three electronic shop.

ECHOES TO PONDER

ACTIVITY 1|the worker

Work immersion place a crucial role in Grade 12 students since this subject aims

to give us knowledge to have a preparation for our future career. It gives insight on what

are the expected works we are going to have or to do. This experience improves my

skills and abilities regarding fixing electronic appliances.

Moreover, having the skills and abilities can’t stand alone, it should be integrated

with attitude. Although, character is not easy to develop but can be achieve over time

with patience and dedication. As an immersion student, I possessed an attitude being

hardworking. I believe it is significant that we must possess that character because, in

fixing appliances we should have that kind of attitude to finish all the task effectively and

successfully.

I know myself what are the things that I lack and vice versa. Yet, despite of

having lack in different things I have my own unique skills that I can share and

showcase people not just amaze them but, to show them that I’m capable and qualified

for the job.

ACTIVITY 2|Do’s and Don’ts
Do’s
Must be passionate and dedicated to your work.
Do and follow what they said.
Be punctual.

Don’ts
It is not allowed to smoke.
Not allowed not to wear uniform.
Cellphone is not allowed during the work.

ACTIVITY 3|Confidentiality of Workplace

Maintaining confidentiality in the workplace is important for building trust between

the customers, clients, and employees. In common situation it is seen that some

organizations or institutions keep the employee, clients, and customer’s information

private. However, in our assigned workplace the customers information is the only one

that is considered confidential. Since we are trusted by the owner and I wanted to do my

job effectively with honesty so, we keep the information’s of the customers private from

the public eyes. As they said, trust is being earn, so I don’t want to waste the trust that

been given to us.
