Tim’s grandfather lived at the seaside. Tim often
visited him. In their last school holidays, he went
there with Mike. They stayed there for 7 days. The
first days were sunny and the boys went

On Friday night there was a storm in the sea. The
next morning the boys had breakfast and ran to the

Little Bob
Once upon a time there was a little boy whose
name was Bob. He lived in a small house with his
Mum and Dad. Bob was a very nice and kind boy.
But he liked to growl at tigers. “Bob, tigers don’t
like it when people growl at them” his mother told
him.
One day he went for a walk to find a tiger. In 5

The Fisherman
Once upon a time there lived an old man and an old
woman near the sea. They lived in a small house and
were very poor. Every day the old man went to the
sea to fish, but usually he caught nothing and the
old woman was very angry. She said: “You are the
worst fisherman ever! Why did I marry you?”
One day the old man caught a fish in his net. It was

The Lion and the Hare.
Once a lion saw a hare. He caught it and was going to eat
it when a deer ran by.
“That deer will make me a bigger dinner,” he said. He let
the hare go and ran after the deer. But the deer could run

Johnny the Gingerbread Man
Once there lived an old woman in a
wooden house. She didn't have any
children but she had two brothers. The lady
wanted to have a little baby. Her husband
told her to make a small boy from
gingerbread. She thought it was a good
idea.
The woman went to the market and
bought some flour. Then she made some

Everybody knows the story of Robinson Crusoe, a
sailor who lived on a desert island near the coast
of Chile. Not many people know, however, that
there was a real person who had inspired Daniel

London Fog
It was a very foggy day in London. The fog
was so thick that it was impossible to see
more than a foot or so. Buses, cars and
taxies were not able to run and were
standing by the side of the road. People
were trying to find their way about on foot
