A Detailed Lesson Plan in MAPEH 9 (Art of Renaissance Period)

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the student will able to:
 Define the characteristics of Art during the Renaissance period;
 Express the ideas about the art from the past and present; and
 Determine the artwork of each artist through activity.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Art of Renaissance Period.
Materials: PowerPoint presentation

III. Procedure

B. Motivation
The students will answer the 4pics 1word game.

“Ok class, what did you observer from the “Sir, I think we are going to discuss about
words in the game? Anyone who can give the famous painters from Renaissance
their idea?” period which is named after in ninja turtle
characters.”

“Yes, correct. Thank you for answering. “Turtle, Painting, Ninja, and Colors sir!”

“Excellent. And now, we are going to


proceed to the discussion about the Art of
Renaissance and Baroque Period.”

Arts of the Renaissance Period covers
artworks produced during the 14th, 15th and
16th centuries in Europe. The word
“renaissance” comes from the word,
“renaitre”, which means, “rebirth.” It
pertains to arts, particularly in Italy, such as
sculptures, paintings, music, architecture,
and literature.

the Renaissance Period.”
Michelangelo was an Italian sculptor,
