Grade: GRADE 11 Semester: 2nd Semester
Core Subject Title: GENERAL BIOLOGY II No of Hours/ Semester: 80 HOURS/SEMESTER
Culminating Performance Standard:
The learners will be able to plan and conduct a laboratory experiment using their knowledge in the subject matter
Performance Task (GRASPS Method):
LABORATORY EXPERIMENT
GOAL
To design and conduct two biology experiments that demonstrate understanding of key biological concepts.
ROLE
As a biology student, you are tasked with selecting and executing two experiments related to topics covered in Biology II.
AUDIENCE
Your audience is your biology teacher who will evaluate your experiment proposals and final reports.
SITUATION:
You have been learning about various biological concepts and experimental techniques in Biology II. Now, it's time to put your knowledge into action by designing and conducting your own
experiments.
PRODUCT:
You will submit a written proposal for each experiment, outlining the purpose, materials, procedure, expected results, and potential sources of error. If your proposal is approved by your
teacher, you will proceed with conducting the experiments and submitting a final report including observations, data analysis, conclusions, and reflections.
