Course/ Year: BSED-III Professor: Nabelah H. Yusoph
Assignment: Why did you chose BSED Sciences?
When I was in grade school, I was inspired by my teacher named Mary Anne, she is sweet, kind,
approachable and I understand everything she teaches better than other teachers. From that day, I
told myself that I want to become a teacher, but everything didn't go accordingly because one
day my father asked me what I wanted when I grew up, and I said “I want to become a teacher” I
was sad when he said he wanted me to be an accountant one day. I’m just an obedient child who
answered “Yes, I will become an accountant” but in my heart I know that I want to be a Teacher.
When I entered highschool, I realized that I’m interested at some issues related to society,
regarding the law of countries, and I really really hate math and science. I told myself “I want to
be a Teacher major in social science NOT in SCIENCE and be an Attorney too”.
When I entered my senior highchool. Its enrollment day and the slot in ABM is already full. I
call my father and told him that the ABM Strand is already full and he said “Sandn sa kya
enrollan ka ka knaba bo anan paka affect amay college ka” so I did what he said, now My choice
is STEM and GAS. I enrolled in GAS because I hate math and science so why would I enroll at
STEM? When I passed my paper the faculty told me that my Average is for STEM students so
she encourage me to enroll at STEM Strand but I told her that I want to enroll at GAS. I
graduated at Senior high.
I transferred here at Marawi City, I attended at MSU SASE, When you are attending a SASE
there is a form and you need to fill out what is you preffered course, there are three. My first is
Accounting, second is Accounting, third is Teacher. Fast forward, the result was out I didn’t
make it. My auntie suggested MSU LNCAT, so I enrolled at MSU LNCAT because it’s a MSU
Branch and I was planning to attend CET. So I enrolled at MSU LNCAT, I enrolled at BSED
Major in Science. While waiting for the first day of classes because its online class, I apply for
different scholarships, alhamdulillah After so many exams and papers works, I passed. After 6
months, I took the CET, again there is a form asking what is my preffered course, I wrote my
inner child dream which is Teacher, second is AB Pol Sciece, third is accountancy, which is my
father’s dream for me. Fast forward, I passed the MSU CET. But sadly, my parents didn’t let me
to study there because “Kung hindi accountancy ang kukunin mong kurso doon wag na, sayang
ang scholar mo, back to zero ka imbis na 2nd yr kana 1st yr ka ulit doon” As a obedient child I said
yes buti pa nga pinayagan ako sa dream profession ko eh.
Now, Im here a future educator major in science which is I hate science but trying to love
science. I realized that, Allah found a way for me to reach my dream profession, From not
enrolling at ABM to failing at SASE because I chose Accountancy, and yes. Truly Allah knows
what the best for you. I’m not here yet but I believe in “Malayo pa pero malayo na” Now, here I
am, your future Teacher and Attorney Inshaa Allah.
