Modifications to the machine or use of cational equipmert other than that spectied can resultin a reduction of capac 2) Construction equipment can be hazardous i improperly operated or maintained. Operation and maintenance ofthis machine shall be in compliance withthe information inthe Safely, Operation & Maintenance Manual supplied with this mactine. I this manuals missing, order replacements rom the manufacturer through the distributor, 3) The operator and other personnel associated with machine shal uly acqdaint themselves with the latest American National Standards (ASMEIANS) for cranes. 7 1) The machine sal be level and ona fm supporting surface. Depending on the nature ofthe supporting surface, itmay be necessary ta have structural supports under the outgger foals or tras to spread tha load toa larger bearng surface. 2) When outrigger use is intended, the outiggers shall be properly extended with tires raised off ofthe supporting surface before ing erane functions anc ing loads. 3) Ties shall be Inflated tothe recommended pressure before Ifting on tires. 4) Add lockouts shall be operating properly before Iftng over the side ofthe crane ')_Uniess approves by Sary, donot travel with boom extension erected OPERATION: 1) Rated loads at rated radius shallot be exceeded. Do not attempt to tip the machine to datemine allowable loads. For clash, grapple, magnet or concrete bucket operation total weight of component and load must not exceed 80% of rated iting capactos. 2) (Alates loads have been testes to and meet the ASME B30.5 requirements inluding, SAE 41063 ~ Canblevered Boom Crane Structures ~ Method of Test. and do not exceed 85% ofthe tigping load on outiggersfuly extended. Loads ae also determined by SAE J765 Grane Stabity Testing. Capactios on utiggers 50% extended and 0% extanded (uly retracted) correspond to SAE J1289 (Test Load = 1.25P + 0.18). 0.12 represents one-tenth (0.10) of tn total Boom weight reduced to the boom poi 3) Rated loads include the weight of haokblock, sings ané aur ting devices and thei weighs shal bo subtracted from tho listed raling lo obtain the actual load (abe ited. When mare than the minimum required pats c! ine needed to pick te load are Used, the ‘ctional rope weight as measured from the lower sheaves of the main boom nose shall be considered part ofthe load to belted, ‘When bath the hook blocs and headache ball are reeved, the ling device that = NOT in use, including te ine as measured rom the lower sneave(s) of the nose supporting the untsed device shall be considered part oft load, 4) Load ralings are based on realy suspended leads. No attempt shall be made {0 move a load horizontally on the ground in any drecton. '5) Rated loads do not account for wind on ited loads or Boom, The maximum in-sehce wind speec ie 20 m.p:, Is recommended ‘when wind velocity is above 20 mp. rated loads and boom lengths shall be appropriately reduced, For machines nat n-srvie, the ‘main boom shouldbe retracted ara lowored with swing brake sen wind velocities over 30 m ph 8) Rated loads are for It crane service ony. 7) Do not operas ata radus or boom length where capacities are not sted. At these postions, the machine may overtum without any load on the hook '8) Tho maximum load which can be tnloscoped is not definable because of variations in loadings and crane maintananco, but tis safe to attempt retraction and extension of the boom if the rated capacity isnot exceeded {9} When the boom length or it radius or both ave Between values ted, the smallest load shown at either the next larger radius or next longer or shater boom length shall be used 10) The user shall make duo allowances for his particular job conditions, such as: softer uneven ground, out af ave conditions, high winds, side loads, pendulum action, jerking & sudden stopping of lads, experience of personel, wo machine (tandem) iis, traveling with loads, electric wires, obstacieg, hazardous condone, ele Side pull on boom or jbis extremely dangerous, {1) Regardless of outigger spread coniguration, no deduct is required ffom the main boom chars fora stowed boom extension. 12), Never handle persormel with this machine uniess the requirements ofthe applicable national, state, and local regulations and safety odes are met. 13) keep all load handling devices a minimum of 40 ches (1 Meter) bolow boom head at all ies. 14) The boom angle befere loading should be greater than the loaded boom angle to account for deflection. 15) Capacities appearing above the boldline are baged on structural strength and Lpping should not be reed upon as a capacity Titan. Capacities for the 37.7 boom length shal be lifted wih boom fuly retracted. f boom isnot uly retracted, capacities shall not exceed those shown for the 60.5. boom length 17) When operating with the Outriggers in te 60% Extended Mode, the outrigger beam pine must be engaged. When operating in the On Outriggers 0% Extended Mode, the outrigger beams must be fly reacted. Fallure fo comply coulé result in uctural damage o oss of stably ofthe crane, 18) Do not loads when boom i ful lowered. The Load Moment Indicator (LMI) senses pressure inthe it cylin and it ill not sense ‘a waming o lockout condition, The crane can be overloaded without waming the it eyinder fully retractos 19) WARNING: Ling lads over he 20.2. boom extension base, with the 22.2. boom extension fly erected, or folded (stowed) alongside the 302 ft boom extension base, i sity probed 20) The maximum outrigger pad load is 92,000 I. DEFINITIONS: 1) Load Radius: Horizontal distance from a projection ofthe axis of rotation tothe supporting surface before loading to the center ofthe vertical hoistline or tackle with loae applies. 2) Leaded Boom Anglo: s the angle between the boom base section and the horizontal after iting the rated load at the rated radius ‘withthe rated boom length. 3) Working Area: Areas measured in a circular are about the center ine of rotation as shown onthe working area diagram, 4) Freely Suspended Load: Load hanging free with no direct extemal force applied except bythe host caals, 5) Side Load: Horzonal force applied tothe lifted load either onthe ground onthe air. 8) No Load Stability Limit The stability itis determines by the Min Soom Angle on the Load Chars. tis not permitted to lower the boom below the boom angles listec because the machine can overtum without any load onthe hook, 6 ‘Sany Automobile Hoisting Machinery Co., LTD ‘[Link] 2 August 2012 (Rev 5) 12RC00551820 3 WEIGHT REDUCTIONS ‘Auxiliary Boom Nose ‘Overhaul Ball - 8.3 US ton, 353 Lbs, Hook Block — 65 US ton 5 Sheave 7,433 Lbs ‘30.2 Foot Boom Extension No Ball 4,974 Lbs '30.2 Foot Boom Extension With 353 Lb Ball 6,506 Lbs. Capacities are in pounds and do not exceed 75% of tipping loads as tested in accordance with SAE J765. 2. Capacities are applicable to machines equipped with 29.5R25 - ** Bridgestone radial tires at 75 psi cold inflation pressure. 3. Capacities appearing above the bold line are based on structural strength and tipping should not be relied upon as a capacity limitation. Capacities are applicable only with machine on firm level surface, On tire lifting with the boom extensions is not permitted, For pick and carry operation, boom must be centered over the front of the machine with the swing lock ‘engaged and the load restrained from swinging. 7. Axle lockouts must be functioning when lifting on tires. 8. Alllifting depends on proper tie inflation, capacity and condition. Capacities must be reduced for lower tire inflation pressures. See lifting capacity information for tire used.
