Exposed pipes and pipes running inside shafts shall be copper

Water supply Cold Water pipes inside building shall be PPR

Water supply Hot Water pipes inside building shall be PPR-CT

Cold and Hot water pipes shall be insulated ( unless stated by client)
Legend, Notes and symbols
Legend and Symbols shall be modified to contain only items in the project.

Notes Must Read Carefully to match the project.

Check that AMI note regarding the electronic meter is added

Water Supply technical schedule shall be prepared for All projects, showing
all water supply items (main and roof Water tanks, all types of pumps,
heaters, filters, etc…)
Standard Details
Check that all project standard details are matching and shown (water
meters, pumps, electrical water heater, Roof tank, etc...)

Check text size to be readable when printed (even the DWG. Is N.T.S)
Swimming pool ,tanks and pump rooms
Swimming pool Layout and pump room shall be submitted in a separate
detail (with scale 1:100 or 1:50)

Mechanical Pump room shall have as a separate detail with scale of 1:50

Filling line for Firefighting tanks shall have the same size as KAHRAMAA tie
in Pipe.

Water tanks shall have the following:

 Drain pit ( usually 600X600X200mm)
 Suction Pipe c/w anti-vortex plat
 Tank drain
 Tank Over flow
 Filling line (c/w float valve and shall be near to the access opening)
 Vent pipe
 Level indicator

Equipment dimensions used in the pump room shall be selected Carefully .

and to be sure that it will fit in or out of the pump room easily (e.g. Water
filter)

 N/A Description Remarks

Design Criteria
Plan
Pipe sizes shall be according to uniform Plumbing code standard (UPC).

Pipe sizes shall be written as inner diameters (and to be mentioned in

notes).
[φ15, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 75, 100 …etc.)

Maximum flow velocity for the internal piping shall be 1.5 m/s and pipe sizing
shall be based on that.

Minimum WC pipe size is Ø20mm.

Combining more than one fixture (e.g. 2 Lavatories) shall have a minimum
pipe size of Ø20mm.

In case of central Hot water system, hot water return line shall be added for
hot water circulation

Hot Water Return shall be connected to the farthest toilet.

For small toilets Hot Water Return pipe shall be terminated at shaft or at
beginning of toilet, for large area toilets hot water return shall be terminated
at the farthest point of the toilet main line.

Hot Water return pipe sizing shall be less one size than the equivalent hot
water pipe size, with minimum Ø15 mm.

Hose bib to be provided for the following:

 Parking areas
 Roof floor
 Equipment room (technical floor, pump rooms, etc...)

Incoming cold water from Kahramaa will be stored into the domestic tank 1 st
compartment (unfiltered water).

Pump with filter will be used to transfer water from 1 stcompartment (unfiltered
water) to 2nd compartment (filtered water).

Multi stage centrifugal Transfer pumps will be used to fill the roof level tanks
from the 2nd compartment (filtered).

Variable speed pressure booster pumps sets will be used to provide water
from the elevated tanks to the three floors immediately below the tanks, and
the remaining floors will be served by gravity piping system.

Roof tank shall have Maximum two suctions (pump suction and gravity line)
